About the iRV 31
The iRV 31 is a versatile multimedia player designed for use in RVs and similar environments. It supports AM/FM radio, CD, DVD, MP3, and MP4 playback, along with Bluetooth connectivity and high-definition audio/video outputs.
Key Features:
- AM/FM Tuner with 24 FM and 16 AM presets.
- CD/MP3/MP4/DVD Disc Player: Compatible with standard 4.75" (12cm) discs, including CD, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD, DVD+R, DVD-R, MP3, MP4, and JPEG-CD. Plays Region 1 DVDs (USA and Canada).
- 5V Charge Port: For charging devices like iPods (not a USB data port).
- Bluetooth: Enables wireless connections for streaming music and device control.
- High Definition Input/Output: Supports HD video and audio with ARC function.
- Dual Zone Audio: Zone 1 provides 2.0 digital surround sound, while Zone 2 provides standard stereo audio.

System Setup
The System Setup menu allows configuration of various player settings via the on-screen display (OSD) using the "SETUP" button and navigation buttons.
Language Setup
Users can select OSD Language, Audio Language, and Subtitle Language from options including ENGLISH, FRENCH, and SPANISH.
Audio Setup
Configure audio output settings, including HDMI AUDIO (SPDIF/OFF, SPDIF/RAW, SPDIF/PCM) and DOWN MIX.
Speaker Setup
Configure speaker output settings.
TV System Setup
Options include TV SYSTEM (AUTO/PAL/NTSC), SCREEN SAVER (ON/OFF), RESOLUTION (e.g., 480p, 720p, 1080p), TV TYPE (e.g., 4:3 Letter Box, 4:3 Pan Scan, 16:9), RATING, and DEFAULT settings.
Operation
Radio Operation
The unit features an AM/FM tuner with manual tuning, auto-search tuning, and preset station memory. Users can select bands (AM1, AM2, FM1, FM2, FM3) and store up to 24 FM and 16 AM presets.

DVD/CD/MP3/MP4 Operation
Insert discs into the slot. The unit supports various disc formats. Playback controls include Play/Pause, Stop, Repeat, Fast Forward/Reverse, and Eject.
Bluetooth Link
To connect a Bluetooth device, turn on the iRV 31, select "BT Link" on the unit, and search for "iRV31 BT" on the mobile device. Confirm the connection.
Clock Setting
Press and hold the CLOCK button for 3 seconds to enter clock setting mode. Use the VOLUME knob to adjust hours and minutes.
Remote Control Guide
The remote control provides access to all player functions.

Wiring Diagram
The unit features two main connectors:
- Connector A: For power and control signals. Pin assignments include +12V, GND, and NC (No Connection).
- Connector B: For audio and video outputs, and antenna input. Pin assignments include Zone 1 Left/Right (+/-), Zone 2 Left/Right (+/-), Video Output (V-out), Audio Left Output (L-out), Audio Right Output (R-out), Antenna input, and TV OUT.
Troubleshooting
Common issues and solutions:
- No Power: Check fuse, ensure proper value replacement.
- LCD Errors/No Function: Turn unit off and restart. Use Factory Default Restart.
- Poor Radio Reception/Static: Check antenna extension, condition, and grounding.
- Disc Cannot Be Loaded: Ensure disc is correctly inserted and not obstructed. Use EJECT to clear.
- No Picture: Verify Video line connection to the TV. Check TV SYSTEM setting (NTSC recommended).
- Disc Error: Disc may be damaged or dirty. Clean and retry.
- No Color on Video: Turn unit off, restart, or use Factory Default Restart.
Factory Default Restart: Press and hold the POWER button for 5 seconds. The unit will shut off. Restart by pressing the ON button to reset to factory defaults.
Caution: Do not attempt to disassemble the unit. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.
