Periodically back up your NVR's configuration settings. This allows for quick restoration in case of system issues or replacement.
4.4 Cleaning
Ensure the NVR unit is kept in a clean, dust-free environment. Periodically clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners directly on the unit.
5. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No video display on monitor. | Loose HDMI/VGA cable, incorrect display resolution, NVR not powered on. | Check cable connections. Ensure NVR is powered. Try a different display port or monitor. Adjust display resolution if necessary. |
| Cameras not connecting or showing video. | Incorrect network settings, PoE issue, camera power issue, camera not added to NVR. | Verify camera network settings and IP addresses. Check PoE status for each port. Ensure cameras are powered. Add cameras via the NVR's camera management interface. |
| Cannot access NVR remotely. | Network configuration issues (port forwarding, firewall), incorrect IP address, NVR not connected to internet. | Verify NVR's network connection. Check router settings for port forwarding. Ensure correct IP address or domain name is used. Consult your network administrator. |
| Recording not working. | Hard drive not initialized, disk full, recording schedule not set, camera not recording. | Initialize hard drives. Check disk space. Configure recording schedules. Verify camera recording settings. |
