1. Introduction

The SHANLING H7 is a versatile Desktop DAC/Headphone Amplifier designed for high-fidelity audio playback. It features advanced DAC technology, multiple headphone outputs, and various input options, including Bluetooth 5.0. 3.1 Front Panel

4. Setup

4.1 Initial Power On

To power on the SHANLING H7, press and hold the right multi-function knob for approximately 2 seconds. The device display will illuminate.

4.2 Connecting Headphones

Insert your headphones into the appropriate jack (3.5mm, 4.4mm balanced, or 6.35mm) on the front panel. Ensure the connection is secure.

4.3 Charging the Device

Connect the provided USB-C to USB-A or USB-C to USB-C cable to the dedicated 'CHARGE' port on the rear panel and to a power source. The charging indicator light on the front panel will show red while charging and turn off when fully charged.

The H7 is equipped with a 6800mAh battery, providing approximately 10 hours of single-ended battery life and 8 hours of balanced battery life.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Controls (Wheels)

The SHANLING H7 features two multi-function wheels for intuitive control:

• Left Wheel:
  • Playback: Press to switch input. Rotate left for previous song, rotate right for next song.
  • Settings Menu: Press for 2 seconds to enter the menu. Press to go to the next item. Rotate to change settings. Press for 2 seconds to exit the menu.
• Right Wheel:
  • Basic Functions: Press for Play/Pause. Rotate to change volume. Double press to lock/unlock controls.
  • Power On/Off: Press and hold for 2 seconds to power on/off.

5.2 Input Modes

The H7 supports multiple input methods:

• USB DAC: Connect to mobile phones, tablets, or computers using the USB-C port.
• Bluetooth 5.0: Pair with your phone or tablet for wireless audio streaming (H7 acts as a Bluetooth receiver). Supports LDAC, SBC, and AAC codecs.
• Coaxial/Optical: Use the 3.5mm digital input for connection to CD players or other digital audio sources.

5.3 Gain Settings

Install the Eddict Player App on your Android or iOS device to remotely control the H7 via SyncLink. This allows control over song selection, volume, gain, filters, and more.

7. Troubleshooting

Device not powering on:

Ensure the device is charged. Connect it to a power source using the charging cable and check the charging indicator light.

No audio output:

Check headphone connections. Verify the correct input mode is selected. Adjust the volume level. Ensure the gain setting is appropriate for your headphones.

Bluetooth pairing issues:

Ensure the H7 is in Bluetooth input mode. Clear the pairing list on both the H7 and your source device, then attempt to re-pair. Ensure your source device is within range.
