The Cat Mate C500 is designed to provide scheduled meals for your pets, accommodating both wet and dry food. It features a digital timer for precise meal scheduling and includes ice packs to maintain food freshness.

Setup

  1. Battery Installation

    The feeder requires 3 x AA batteries (not included) for operation. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the unit. Insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity as indicated.

  2. Ice Pack Placement

    For wet food or to keep dry food fresh, place the two reusable ice packs in the freezer for at least 6 hours prior to use. Once frozen, insert them into the designated slots beneath the food carousel within the feeder unit.

  3. Filling the Food Compartments

    Place the stainless steel carousel into the feeder unit. Each of the five compartments can hold up to 330g (approximately 0.73 lb) of food. Fill the compartments with your pet's desired wet or dry food. Ensure the food level does not exceed the top edge of the compartments.

  4. Securing the Lid

    Place the main lid securely onto the feeder unit. The lid is designed to be tamper-resistant to prevent pets from accessing food prematurely.

  5. Optional Stability

    For enhanced stability, especially with active pets, the feeder can be fastened to a wooden board using appropriate screws (not included) through the designated holes on the base.

Operating Instructions

  1. Setting the Digital Timer

    The digital timer allows you to program up to four individual meal times. The first meal is immediately accessible upon setup, and the subsequent four meals are dispensed at programmed intervals.

    • Press the ADJ/SET button to enter programming mode.
    • Use the UP and DOWN arrows to adjust the time for each meal.
    • Press ADJ/SET again to confirm and move to the next setting.
    • The LCD screen will display the scheduled feed times.

  2. Power On/Off

    Use the ON/OFF button to activate or deactivate the feeder's timer function.

  3. Automatic Dispensing

    At each programmed meal time, the carousel will rotate, revealing a new compartment of food. The feeder is designed for continuous operation for over 12 months on a single set of batteries.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Feeder

    The stainless steel carousel and individual bowls are dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. The main feeder unit should be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Do not submerge the main unit in water.

  • Battery Replacement

    Replace batteries annually or when the low battery indicator appears on the LCD screen to ensure continuous operation.

  • Ice Pack Care

    Wash ice packs with soap and water as needed. Ensure they are completely dry before refreezing or storing.
