1. Product Overview

The LUTEC 38W 3500 Lumen LED Motion Activated Integrated Dual-Head Floodlight is designed to provide efficient and reliable outdoor lighting for enhanced security and visibility. The floodlight is designed for wall mount installation and requires a corded electric power source. Ensure power is disconnected before beginning installation.

3. Operating Modes

The LUTEC floodlight offers four distinct operating modes to suit various needs and preferences. These modes are controlled via the integrated motion sensor and adjustable settings.

Motion Sensor Settings:

The motion sensor has a 180-degree sensing angle and can detect motion up to 59 feet away. Adjust the sensitivity and timer settings on the sensor unit as shown below:

Sensitivity (DISTANCE):
- L = 0-20 ft
- M = 0-39 ft
- H = 0-59 ft
Time (TIME):
- 1 MIN
- 3 MIN
- 10 MIN

Available Lighting Modes:

Test Mode: Used during installation to verify sensor functionality and coverage area. The light will turn on briefly when motion is detected.
Security Mode: The light turns on to full brightness when motion is detected and stays on for the set duration (1, 3, or 10 minutes), then turns off. This mode is active only during nighttime hours.
Dusk to Dawn Mode: The light turns on at night at a low brightness level and stays on. When motion is detected, it turns to full brightness for the set duration, then returns to low brightness. It automatically turns off at dawn.

Manual Override Mode: This mode allows the light to operate constantly at 100% brightness for a selected period (typically 6 hours, as indicated in product images). To activate, quickly turn the power switch OFF and then ON. The light will remain on until the override period ends or the power is cycled again.

4. Maintenance

The LUTEC floodlight is constructed with durable aluminum and an IP65 waterproof rating, designed for long-term outdoor use with minimal maintenance.

Cleaning: Periodically wipe the light fixture with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Inspection: Regularly check the mounting and wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from damage.
Lifespan: The integrated LED units have an estimated lifespan of 50,000 hours, meaning bulb replacement is generally not required.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your LUTEC floodlight, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

Problem	Possible Cause	Solution
Light does not turn on.	No power, faulty wiring, sensor obstructed, or incorrect mode.	Check power supply and circuit breaker. Verify wiring connections. Ensure sensor is clear of obstructions. Confirm correct operating mode is selected.
Light stays on continuously.	Manual Override Mode active, continuous motion detected, or sensor malfunction.	Cycle power to exit Manual Override. Check for constant motion in sensor's range. If issue persists, contact customer support.
Motion sensor not detecting.	Incorrect sensitivity setting, sensor obstructed, or ambient light too high.	Adjust sensitivity to 'H'. Clear any obstructions from sensor lens. Ensure it's dark enough for sensor to activate (Dusk to Dawn feature).
Light flickers or dims.	Unstable power supply or internal component issue.	Verify stable power. If problem continues, contact customer support.
