1. Product Overview

The VIOMI Alpha 2 Pro is an advanced LDS Robot Vacuum Mop Cleaner designed to provide comprehensive floor cleaning. 2. Safety Information

Please read all safety instructions carefully before using the appliance and keep this manual for future reference. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

  • General Safety: This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • Electrical Safety: Use only the original power adapter provided with the appliance. Do not use the appliance if the power cord or plug is damaged. Do not touch the power cord or appliance with wet hands.
  • Water and Moisture: Do not immerse the appliance or its charging dock in water or other liquids. Do not use the appliance in wet environments or on wet floors.
  • Obstacles: Clear the area to be cleaned of any loose cables, small objects, or fragile items that could entangle the robot or be damaged.
  • Battery Safety: The appliance contains a lithium-ion battery. Do not expose the battery to high temperatures or direct sunlight. Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the battery.

5. Setup

5.1 Unpacking and Preparation

  1. Remove all packaging materials, protective films, and stickers from the robot and the auto-dumping station.
  2. Install the side brushes by pressing them onto the square posts on the bottom of the robot until they click into place.
  3. Ensure the dustbin and water tank are correctly installed in the robot.

5.2 Auto Dumping Station Placement

  1. Place the auto-dumping station on a hard, level surface against a wall.
  2. Ensure there is at least 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) of clear space on both sides of the station and 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) in front of it.
  3. Plug the power cord into the auto-dumping station and then into a wall outlet. Ensure the power indicator light on the station illuminates.
  4. Do not place the station in direct sunlight or in areas with strong reflective objects.

5.3 Initial Charge

  1. Place the robot onto the auto-dumping station, ensuring the charging contacts align. The robot will automatically power on and begin charging.
  2. For first-time use, fully charge the robot before starting a cleaning cycle. A full charge typically takes 4-5 hours.

5.4 App Connection (Optional but Recommended)

For full functionality and smart features, download the VIOMI Home app (or compatible smart home app) from your mobile app store.

  1. Ensure your mobile device is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to add your VIOMI Alpha 2 Pro. This typically involves resetting the robot's Wi-Fi (refer to app instructions for specific button presses) and connecting to its temporary Wi-Fi hotspot before linking to your home network.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the Power/Clean button for 3 seconds. The indicator light will illuminate.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Power/Clean button for 3 seconds while the robot is stationary.

6.2 Starting a Cleaning Cycle

  • From Robot: Press the Power/Clean button once. The robot will start cleaning in Auto mode.
  • From App: Open the app and select the desired cleaning mode (Auto, Spot, Edge, Mop) and press 'Start'.

6.3 Pausing/Resuming Cleaning

  • Pause: Press the Power/Clean button once during cleaning.
  • Resume: Press the Power/Clean button again.

6.4 Returning to Charging Dock

  • From Robot: Press the Recharge button once.
  • From App: Select the 'Recharge' or 'Go Home' option.

6.5 Mopping Function

  1. Remove the water tank from the robot. Open the water inlet and fill it with clean water. Close the inlet securely.
  2. Attach the mop pad to the mop pad holder and slide the holder into the designated slot on the robot.
  3. Start a cleaning cycle. The robot will automatically dispense water for mopping. You can adjust water volume settings via the app.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your VIOMI Alpha 2 Pro. Always power off the robot before performing any maintenance.

7.1 Auto Dumping Station Dust Bag

  • Frequency: Replace the dust bag when the indicator light on the station signals it's full, or approximately every 4-6 weeks depending on usage.
  • Procedure: Open the dust bag compartment cover on the auto-dumping station. Carefully pull out the full dust bag. Dispose of it and insert a new dust bag, ensuring it is properly seated. Close the cover.

7.2 Robot Dustbin and Filter

  • Frequency: Empty the robot's internal dustbin after each cleaning cycle, especially if not using the auto-dumping feature frequently. Clean the filter weekly.
  • Procedure: Open the robot's top cover and remove the dustbin. Open the dustbin lid and empty its contents. Remove the HEPA filter and tap it gently to remove dust. Do not wash the HEPA filter with water. Rinse the dustbin with water if necessary, and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.

7.3 Main Brush and Side Brushes

  • Frequency: Clean weekly. Replace every 3-6 months.
  • Main Brush: Flip the robot over. Press the release tabs on the main brush cover to remove it. Lift out the main brush. Use the provided cleaning tool to remove hair and debris tangled around the brush and its bearings. Reinstall the brush and cover.
  • Side Brushes: Pull the side brushes upwards to remove them. Remove any tangled hair or debris. If damaged, replace with new ones. Push new brushes firmly onto the posts.

7.4 Sensors and Charging Contacts

  • Frequency: Wipe monthly.
  • Procedure: Use a clean, dry cloth to gently wipe the cliff sensors (on the bottom of the robot), wall sensors (on the side bumper), and the charging contacts on both the robot and the auto-dumping station.

7.5 Water Tank and Mop Pad

  • Frequency: Clean the mop pad after each use. Clean the water tank as needed.
  • Procedure: Remove the mop pad from its holder and rinse it thoroughly with water. Allow it to air dry completely. Empty any remaining water from the water tank and rinse it out. Allow it to air dry before reinserting.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your VIOMI Alpha 2 Pro, refer to the following common problems and solutions. If the problem persists, contact customer support.
