3. Setup and Installation
The Dreamflame EF23T is designed for straightforward insert installation. The product comes pre-assembled, simplifying the setup process.
Installation Steps:
- Prepare Opening: Ensure your mantel, TV stand, or wall opening meets the recommended dimensions: 22.3"-22.4" (W) x 19.9"-20.0" (H) x 8.86"-9.06" (D).
- Position Unit: Carefully slide the electric fireplace insert into the prepared opening.
- Connect Power: Plug the 6ft power cable into a standard 110-120V, 15Amp grounded electrical outlet.
- Secure (Optional): While not always necessary, you may secure the unit if desired, ensuring it does not obstruct any vents or controls.

4. Operating Instructions
The fireplace can be operated using either the included remote control or the manual touch controls located on the unit.
Remote Control Functions:
- Power (ON/OFF): Turns the unit on or off.
- Heat: Toggles between Low (750W), High (1500W), and Off.
- Flame: Adjusts the flame brightness through 5 levels.
- Color: Cycles through 3 colors for the top spotlights and 3 colors for the flame effect.
- Sound: Activates or deactivates the realistic crackling sound effect.
- Timer: Sets the auto shut-off timer from 1 to 9 hours.
Manual Touch Controls:
The manual controls mirror the remote functions and are located behind a small panel on the top right of the unit. Lift the panel to access the buttons for power, heat, flame, color, sound, and timer settings.

- Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, ensure it is clean, dry, and stored in a safe location.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Dreamflame electric fireplace, refer to the following common solutions:
- No Power: Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Verify the wall switch (if applicable) is on.
- Heater Not Working: Ensure the heat function is activated via remote or manual controls. Check if the overheating protection has been triggered (unplug, wait 10-15 minutes, then plug back in). Ensure air vents are not blocked.
- Flames Not Visible: Confirm the flame effect is turned on and adjust brightness settings.
- Remote Not Responding: Replace the batteries (2 AAA batteries required, included). Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the unit.
