7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your DORTALA Loft Bed, refer to the common solutions below.
- Bed is Wobbly or Shaky:
- Ensure all assembly bolts and screws are fully tightened. Do not overtighten, but ensure they are snug.
- Verify the bed is placed on a level surface. Use shims if necessary to stabilize.
- Check that all components are correctly aligned according to the assembly instructions.
- Creaking Noises:
- Tighten all fasteners. Loose connections are a common cause of creaking.
- Inspect bed slats for proper seating and ensure they are not damaged or warped. Replace any damaged slats.
- Apply a small amount of paraffin wax or silicone spray to joints where wood meets wood, if tightening does not resolve the issue.
- Parts Do Not Fit Together:
- Double-check the orientation of the parts. Some pieces may look similar but have specific alignments.
- Ensure you are using the correct hardware for each step as indicated in the assembly manual.
- If a part appears warped or defective, do not force it. Contact customer support for a replacement.
If these steps do not resolve your issue, please contact DORTALA customer support for further assistance.
