4. Setup

Initial Winding:

As an automatic watch, it is powered by the motion of your wrist. However, if the watch has stopped, it needs an initial wind to start. Rotate the crown clockwise approximately 40 times to provide sufficient power reserve.

Setting the Time:

  1. Pull the crown out to the second click position. The second hand will stop.
  2. Rotate the crown to move the hour and minute hands to the desired time. To ensure accurate AM/PM setting, advance the hands past 12 o'clock to see if the date changes.
  3. Push the crown back in to the normal position to start the watch.

Setting the Date:

  1. Pull the crown out to the first click position.
  2. Rotate the crown counter-clockwise to set the date. Do not set the date between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM, as this may damage the date change mechanism.
  3. Push the crown back in to the normal position.

5. Operating the Watch

Power Reserve:

Your automatic watch has a power reserve that allows it to continue running for a certain period when not worn. If the watch stops, simply wear it or manually wind it to restart. Regular wear will keep the watch wound.

Accuracy:

Mechanical watches may have slight variations in accuracy. Factors such as temperature, magnetic fields, and activity level can influence performance. For optimal accuracy, wear the watch regularly.

6. Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning: Wipe the watch case and bracelet regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and perspiration. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and then dry thoroughly.
  • Water Resistance: This watch is designed with a certain level of water resistance. Refer to the specifications section for details. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water.
  • Storage: When not wearing the watch for an extended period, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong magnetic fields.
  • Service: It is recommended to have your watch inspected and serviced by an authorized CITIZEN service center every 3-5 years to ensure its long-term performance and water resistance.
