Setup Instructions

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
2. Assembly: Attach the desired water outlet and air tube (if oxygenation is required) to the filter head. Ensure the filter media (sponge, carbon, ceramic balls) are correctly placed within the filter box.
3. Placement: Submerge the filter completely in the aquarium water. Use the strong suction cups to securely mount the filter to the inside glass of your aquarium, either vertically or horizontally. Ensure the water level is above the minimum water level mark for proper operation. The filter can be fully submerged.
4. Power Connection: Connect the power plug to a suitable electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On: Once submerged and connected, the filter will begin operating.
2. Adjusting Water Flow: Rotate the flow regulator to increase or decrease the water flow rate. A gentle flow is suitable for delicate fish or shrimp, while a higher flow can create a waterfall effect or maximize dissolved oxygen.
3. Adjusting Air Supply (Oxygenation): If using the air tube, adjust the air regulator to control the amount of aeration, which helps increase oxygen content in the water.

Maintenance

2. Ceramic Rings: The ceramic rings provide biological filtration. Do not clean these rings with tap water, as it can kill beneficial bacteria. Replace them only when they show signs of degradation.
3. Cleaning: Disconnect the power before performing any maintenance. Disassemble the filter components for thorough cleaning. Rinse the filter housing and impeller with aquarium water to remove debris. For the impeller, applying food-grade silicone grease can help maintain quiet operation and longevity.
4. Reassembly: Reassemble all components securely and re-submerge the filter before reconnecting power.

Troubleshooting

• Reduced Water Flow:
  • Check if the filter media is clogged. Clean or replace as necessary.
  • Inspect the impeller for blockages or wear. Clean the impeller and its housing.
  • Ensure the water level is above the minimum operating level.
• Excessive Noise:
  • Check if the impeller is properly seated and free of debris.
  • Ensure the filter is securely mounted and not vibrating against the tank glass.
  • Verify the water level is adequate.
• Filter Not Starting:
  • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged in.
