3. Operating Instructions

3.1 First Boot and BIOS Access

After assembling your system, connect the power supply and monitor. Power on the system. To enter the BIOS setup utility, continuously press the "Del" key immediately after pressing the power button. Do not wait for the operating system's boot logo to appear, as it will be too late.

3.2 Driver Installation

For optimal performance and compatibility, it is recommended to install the necessary drivers for your operating system. If you are unsure where to download drivers, using a Windows 10 operating system is recommended as it often provides better automatic driver detection and installation.

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and stable operation of your motherboard.

  • Dust Removal: Periodically clean dust from the motherboard and components using compressed air. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
  • CR2032 Battery: The CR2032 battery powers the CMOS for BIOS settings and timekeeping. If your system frequently loses time or BIOS settings, the battery may need replacement.

5. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your motherboard.

  • No Display, No Boot, No Picture, No Network Card, No Sound Card:
    • Restore factory settings in BIOS.
    • Reset CMOS (refer to motherboard manual for jumper location or remove/reinsert CR2032 battery).
    • Use an eraser to gently clean the metal pins on the memory modules, CPU, or graphics card, then reinsert them firmly.
  • Diagnostic Card Displays "FF" Code:

This typically indicates an incompatible CPU, foreign objects on CPU pins, or improper power connection. Ensure the CPU is compatible with LGA 2011-3 socket and its pins are clean. Verify all power cables are securely connected.

  • Diagnostic Card Displays "b7", "b9", "53", or "b0" Codes:

These codes suggest that the motherboard is not detecting the memory. Try removing and reinserting the memory modules several times. You can also gently wipe the metal contacts of the memory modules with an eraser to ensure good contact.
