2. Pairing the Units
The receiver and transmitter should automatically pair once batteries are installed. If pairing does not occur, or if you are setting up additional sensors, follow these steps:
- Place the receiver and transmitter close to each other.
- On the transmitter, locate the TX/RESET button inside the battery compartment. Press and hold it for 3 seconds to initiate pairing.
- On the receiver, press the "CH" (Channel) button to select the desired channel (CH1, CH2, or CH3) for the remote sensor. The display should show the outdoor temperature for the selected channel.
- Once synchronized, avoid pressing the RESET button on the transmitter, as this may disrupt the signal.

Maintenance
Battery Replacement
When the battery indicator appears on the display, replace the batteries in the respective unit (receiver or transmitter) with new AAA batteries to ensure continued accurate readings.
Care and Storage
- Clean the units with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
- Avoid exposing the units to extreme temperatures (above 122°F / 50°C) or high humidity (above 95% RH) for extended periods, as this can damage the components.
- Store the thermometer in a dry place when not in use.
Troubleshooting
- No Display or Faint Display: Check battery polarity and ensure batteries are fresh. Replace if necessary.
- No Remote Sensor Reading:
- Ensure the remote sensor is within the 500ft transmission range and there are no major obstructions (thick walls, large metal objects) between the units.
- Press the TX/RESET button on the remote sensor and the CH button on the receiver to re-establish connection.
- Verify that the remote sensor is placed upright to prevent water entry into the vents.
- Inaccurate Readings:
- Ensure both units are not exposed to direct sunlight or heat sources, which can affect accuracy.
- Allow units to stabilize for 15-30 minutes after initial setup or relocation.
