Product Overview

Reer Nova Baby Monitor units

The Reer Nova Baby Monitor consists of a baby unit (left) and a parent unit (right).

Baby Unit Features

The Baby Unit features a low-radiation ECO mode, intelligent switch-on automatic, and adjustable microphone sensitivity.

Parent Unit Features

The Parent Unit can be used without a power cable, supports optional battery operation, and includes a belt clip for comfortable carrying.

LED Light Bar and Micro-USB Connection

Both units feature an LED light bar for optical noise indication and a Micro-USB connection for power via cable.

Setup

  1. Powering the Baby Unit:

Connect one of the provided Micro-USB cables to the Baby Unit's Micro-USB port and the other end to the power adapter. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet. The Baby Unit will power on automatically.

  2. Powering the Parent Unit:

The Parent Unit can be powered by batteries (not included) or by connecting the second Micro-USB cable to its port and the power adapter. If using batteries, open the battery compartment (usually secured with a screw for safety) and insert the required batteries (e.g., AAA, check unit for specific type). Close the compartment securely.

To turn on the Parent Unit, press and hold the Power button.

  3. Positioning the Units:

Place the Baby Unit within 1 to 2 meters of your baby, ensuring it is out of reach. Position the Parent Unit in a location where you can easily hear and see its indicators, and within the maximum range of 450 meters from the Baby Unit.

  4. Establishing Connection:

The units are pre-paired. Once both units are powered on, they should automatically connect. A successful connection is indicated by a steady light on both units. If the connection is lost, the Parent Unit will signal optically and acoustically.

Operating Instructions

Volume Control (Parent Unit)

Use the volume buttons on the Parent Unit to adjust the listening volume. The LED light bar will visually indicate the current volume level.

The Parent Unit's LED light bar displays the adjusted volume level and battery status.

Microphone Sensitivity (Baby Unit)

Adjust the microphone sensitivity on the Baby Unit to control at what sound level the monitor activates. Higher sensitivity will pick up quieter sounds, while lower sensitivity will only activate for louder noises.

VOX Function (Intelligent Switch-on Automatic)

The VOX function ensures the monitor only transmits when sound is detected, saving energy and reducing radiation. When no sound is detected, the units enter standby mode. Transmission resumes automatically when your baby makes a sound.

ECO Mode

Activate the ECO mode for further energy saving and reduced radiation. In ECO mode, the transmission power is minimized when the units are close to each other and no sound is detected.

ECO and VOX Mode indicators

The monitor supports both ECO and VOX modes for efficient operation.

Range Control

The Reer Nova Baby Monitor features a range control function that alerts you both optically and acoustically if the connection between the Baby Unit and Parent Unit is interrupted or if you move out of range (up to 450m).

The monitor maintains a connection up to 450 meters, with alerts for out-of-range situations.

Optical Noise Indicator

In addition to audio transmission, the Parent Unit is equipped with an LED light bar that visually indicates the intensity of sounds detected by the Baby Unit. This is particularly useful in noisy environments or when the volume is turned down.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning:

Wipe the units with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure no liquid enters the units.

  • Battery Care (Parent Unit):

If using rechargeable batteries, ensure they are charged regularly. If using non-rechargeable batteries, replace them when the low battery indicator appears. Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.

  • Storage:

Store the baby monitor in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
