Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures your vacuum operates at peak performance.
Emptying the Dust Cup
Empty the dust cup after each use or when debris reaches the MAX fill line. To empty, detach the handheld vacuum, position it over a trash bin, and press the dust cup release button. Close the dust cup securely after emptying.
Cleaning Filters
The foam and felt filters should be rinsed every month, or as needed, to maintain suction power. Tap loose dirt off filters between washes. Allow filters to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinstalling. Do not operate the vacuum without filters in place.
Cleaning Brushrolls
While the brushroll is self-cleaning, occasionally check the floor nozzle for any debris or blockages. Remove any string, hair, or debris that may be wrapped around the brushroll or stuck in the air path. Ensure the soft roller is also free of obstructions.
Troubleshooting
If your vacuum is not performing as expected, consult the following common issues and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Vacuum not picking up dirt | Dust cup is full; Filters need cleaning; Blockage in nozzle or hose. | Empty dust cup; Clean filters; Check for and remove blockages. |
| Brushroll not spinning | Blockage in brushroll; Vacuum is in Bare Floor mode; Power is off. | Remove any obstructions from brushroll; Switch to Carpet mode; Ensure vacuum is powered on. |
| Vacuum turns off on its own | Overheating; Low battery. | Check for blockages and clean filters; Allow vacuum to cool for 45 minutes; Recharge battery. |
| Battery not charging | Charger not properly connected; Faulty outlet. | Ensure charger is securely plugged into vacuum and wall outlet; Test outlet with another device. |
