1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Nextech 1080P Smart Wi-Fi IP Pan-Tilt Camera (Model: QC3900). This camera is designed for home or small office surveillance, offering high-definition video recording, two-way audio communication, and remote access via the Smart Life app.

The Nextech Smart Wi-Fi IP Camera features a compact design with a pan-tilt mechanism allowing for wide area coverage. It includes a high-definition lens, infrared LEDs for night vision, a built-in microphone and speaker for two-way audio, and a slot for a microSD card (not included) for local storage.

4. Setup

4.1 Powering On

1. Connect the provided USB cable to the camera's power input port.
2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to the provided power adapter.
3. Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The camera will power on and an indicator light will illuminate.

4.2 App Download and Account Registration

The camera operates with the Smart Life app. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.

• Download the "Smart Life" app from the Apple App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices).
• Open the app and register for a new account if you don't have one, or log in with your existing account.

4.3 Adding the Camera to the App

1. In the Smart Life app, tap the "+" icon in the top right corner to add a device.
2. Select "Security & Video Surveillance" and then "Smart Camera".
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to put the camera into pairing mode (usually indicated by a flashing light).
4. Enter your Wi-Fi network password when prompted.
5. The app will generate a QR code. Hold your phone with the QR code in front of the camera lens (approx. 15-20 cm away) until you hear a prompt from the camera.
6. Once the camera connects, it will appear in your device list in the app. You can then rename the camera for easy identification.

4.4 MicroSD Card Installation (Optional)

For local video storage, insert a microSD card (up to 128GB, Class 10 or higher, sold separately) into the designated slot on the camera. Ensure the camera is powered off before inserting or removing the card.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Live View

Open the Smart Life app and tap on the camera's name in your device list to access the live video feed. You can view the real-time footage from anywhere with an internet connection.

5.2 Pan and Tilt Control

On the live view screen, use the directional controls (usually a joystick or arrow icons) within the app to remotely pan (rotate horizontally up to 355°) and tilt (rotate vertically up to 110°) the camera lens to adjust the viewing angle.

5.3 Two-Way Audio Communication

The camera features a built-in microphone and speaker. Tap the microphone icon in the app to speak through the camera's speaker, and listen to audio from the camera's environment through your phone.

5.4 Motion Detection and Notifications

Enable motion detection in the camera settings within the Smart Life app. When motion is detected, the camera can send instant notifications to your smartphone. You can adjust sensitivity levels and set detection zones.

5.5 Video Recording and Playback

• MicroSD Card Recording: If a microSD card is installed, the camera will automatically record footage based on your settings (e.g., continuous recording, event-triggered recording). You can access recorded footage via the app's playback function.
• Cloud Storage: The Smart Life app may offer optional cloud storage services for recorded video. Refer to the app for details on subscription plans.

• Cleaning: Gently wipe the camera lens and body with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
• Firmware Updates: Periodically check the Smart Life app for available firmware updates for your camera. Keeping the firmware updated ensures optimal performance and security.
• Placement: Ensure the camera is placed in a stable location, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and moisture.
