Setup

1. Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the handle of the thermometer.
  2. Slide the cover open.
  3. Insert the two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Operating Instructions

1. Taking a Body Temperature Reading

  1. Ensure the thermometer is in "Body" mode. If not, press the "MODE" button to cycle through modes until "Body" is displayed.
  2. Position the thermometer 0.4 to 2 inches (1-5 cm) away from the center of the forehead, between and slightly above the eyebrows.
  3. Press the trigger button once. The temperature reading will appear on the display within 2 seconds.
  4. Observe the display color:
    • Green: Normal temperature.
    • Yellow: Mildly elevated temperature.
    • Red: High temperature (fever).

2. Taking Food or Bath Temperature (Surface Mode)

  1. Press the "MODE" button to switch to "Surface" mode.
  2. Point the thermometer at the surface of the food or bath water you wish to measure.
  3. Press the trigger button. The surface temperature will be displayed.

3. Switching Between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C)

  1. With the thermometer turned OFF, press and hold the "SET" button for 3 seconds until "Unit" appears on the screen.
  2. Press the "MEMO" button to toggle between °F and °C.
  3. Press the trigger button to save your selection and exit the setting.

4. Using the Mute Function

  1. With the thermometer turned ON, press the "SET" button quickly to toggle the sound ON or OFF.
  2. An icon indicating sound status will appear on the display.

5. Memory Recall

  1. With the thermometer turned ON, press the "MEMO" button to view the last 50 stored readings.
  2. Each press of the "MEMO" button will cycle through previous readings.
