1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the xdobo X8 Waterproof Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your speaker to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product.

5. Setup

5.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge your xdobo X8 speaker using the provided Type-C USB cable and a compatible power adapter (not included). The charging indicator light will show the charging status.

5.2 Power On/Off

• Power On: Press and hold the Power button (U) for a few seconds until you hear an audible prompt and the indicator light turns on.
• Power Off: Press and hold the Power button (U) again for a few seconds until you hear an audible prompt and the indicator light turns off.

5.3 Bluetooth Pairing

1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and in Bluetooth pairing mode (indicator light will be blinking).
2. On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
3. Select "X8" from the list of devices.
4. Once connected, the speaker will provide an audible confirmation, and the indicator light will become solid.

5.4 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Pairing

To achieve 3D stereo surround sound, you can pair two xdobo X8 speakers together:

1. Ensure both X8 speakers are powered on and not connected to any Bluetooth device.
2. On one of the speakers (this will become the main speaker), double-click the Power button. The speaker will enter TWS pairing mode, indicated by a blinking yellow light.
3. The two speakers will automatically connect to each other. Once successfully paired, the main speaker will provide an audible "beep beep" sound, and the yellow light will become solid.
4. Now, connect your mobile device to the main speaker via Bluetooth as described in section 5.3. Do not connect to the second speaker directly.

5.5 Wired Connections (AUX & TF Card)

The xdobo X8 speaker supports direct audio playback via AUX cable and TF (Micro SD) card:

• AUX Input: Connect a 3.5mm audio cable from your device to the AUX port on the speaker. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode.
• TF Card Playback: Insert a TF (Micro SD) card with audio files into the TF card slot. The speaker will automatically detect and play music from the card.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Button Functions

The top panel of the xdobo X8 speaker features several control buttons:

• Power Button (U): Press and hold to power on/off. Double-click for TWS pairing (main speaker).
• Mode Button (M): Short press to switch between Bluetooth, AUX, and TF Card modes.
• Play/Pause Button (▶▶): Short press to play or pause music.
• Volume Down (-): Short press to decrease volume. Press and hold for previous track.
• Volume Up (+): Short press to increase volume. Press and hold for next track.
• Microphone Button (🎤): Short press to activate voice assistant. During a call, short press to answer/end call.

6.2 Voice Assistant

To activate your device's voice assistant (e.g., Siri, Google Assistant), simply short press the microphone button on the speaker. You can then speak your commands through the speaker's built-in microphone.

6.3 Audio Playback

After successful connection via Bluetooth, AUX, or TF card, you can control music playback using the speaker's buttons or directly from your connected device. Adjust volume using the '+' and '-' buttons. Skip tracks by pressing and holding the '+' or '-' buttons.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the speaker's surface. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Water Resistance: The speaker is water resistant (IPX5), meaning it can withstand splashes and light rain. Do not submerge the speaker in water. Ensure the port cover is securely closed before exposure to water.
• Storage: Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the speaker frequently. Charge it regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.

8. Troubleshooting

• Speaker does not power on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the speaker to a power source using the Type-C cable.
• No sound: Check the volume level on both the speaker and your connected device. Ensure the speaker is correctly paired via Bluetooth or connected via AUX/TF card.
• Bluetooth pairing issues: Make sure the speaker is in pairing mode (blinking indicator light). Turn off and on Bluetooth on your device. Try forgetting the speaker from your device's Bluetooth list and re-pairing. Ensure no other devices are connected to the speaker.
• TWS pairing failed: Ensure both speakers are X8 models and are not connected to any other Bluetooth device before initiating TWS pairing. Follow the TWS pairing steps carefully.
• Poor sound quality: Ensure the speaker is within Bluetooth range. Check for obstacles between the speaker and your device. Try playing a different audio source.
