DuoClean PowerFins and Self-Cleaning Brushroll
The DuoClean PowerFins brushroll and soft roller work together to provide continuous cleaning contact on all floor types. The PowerFins dig deep into carpets and directly engage hard floors, while the soft roller pulls in fine particles. Maintenance
Emptying the Dust Cup
Empty the dust cup after each use or when debris reaches the MAX FILL line. To empty, press the Dust Cup Release button and lift the dust cup away from the pod. Hold the dust cup over a trash bin and press the bottom release latch to open the bottom of the dust cup. Press the top release latch to access the filter screen and remove any accumulated debris.
Cleaning Filters
Regularly clean the pre-motor and post-motor filters to maintain optimal suction. Rinse filters with cold water only. Allow all filters to air-dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinstalling them.
- Pre-Motor Filters (Foam and Felt): Wash every 3 months.
- Post-Motor HEPA Filter: Wash once a year.
Brushroll Care
The self-cleaning brushroll minimizes hair wrap, but occasional inspection is recommended. If any debris is wrapped around the brushroll, carefully cut it away with scissors. Ensure the brushroll is free of obstructions for effective cleaning.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Vacuum not picking up debris or no suction. | Dust cup is full; filters need cleaning; hose or nozzle is clogged. | Empty dust cup. Wash and air-dry filters. Check hose and nozzle for blockages. |
| Brushroll not spinning. | Floor setting is incorrect; brushroll is jammed. | Ensure correct floor setting is selected. Clear any obstructions from the brushroll. |
| Vacuum turns off on its own. | Overheating due to clogged filters or hose. | Turn off vacuum, unplug, and allow to cool for 45 minutes. Clear any clogs and clean filters. |
