Setup and Installation

Your VANMASS car phone mount offers multiple installation options for optimal viewing and accessibility.

Option 1: Dashboard/Windshield Installation (Suction Cup)

1. Clean the Surface: Use the provided wet and dry wipes to thoroughly clean the desired flat surface on your dashboard or windshield. Ensure the surface is free of dust and grease for maximum adhesion.
2. Attach the Suction Cup: Remove the protective film from the suction cup. Place the suction cup firmly onto the cleaned surface.
3. Activate Suction: Rotate the lock knob on the suction cup base clockwise until it is fully tightened and the suction is activated.
4. Wait for Adhesion: For best results and strongest adhesion, allow the suction cup to cure for at least 15 minutes before attaching the phone holder or placing a device.
5. Attach Phone Holder: Loosen the threading on the back of the phone holder. Align the ball joint of the suction cup arm with the socket on the back of the phone holder. Push the holder onto the ball joint until it snaps into place.
6. Secure Phone Holder: Tighten the threading to secure the phone holder in your desired orientation (portrait or landscape).

Option 2: Air Vent Installation

1. Attach Air Vent Clip: Loosen the threading on the back of the phone holder. Align the ball joint of the air vent clip with the socket on the back of the phone holder. Push the holder onto the ball joint until it snaps into place.
2. Secure Phone Holder: Tighten the threading to secure the phone holder.
3. Mount to Vent: Slide the air vent clip onto a horizontal or vertical air vent blade. Push the clip firmly until it is securely attached.
4. Adjust Angle: The phone holder can rotate 360 degrees on the ball joint, allowing you to adjust the viewing angle as needed.

Operating Instructions

Using your VANMASS car phone mount is simple and intuitive.

1. Open Clamping Arms: Press the release button located on the side of the phone holder to automatically open the clamping arms.
2. Place Phone: Gently place your smartphone into the holder. The clamping arms will automatically close and secure your device. The bottom tray is adjustable (0.65 inches) to accommodate various phone sizes and cases.
3. Adjust Viewing Angle: Utilize the 360-degree swivel ball head and the 270-degree rotatable telescopic arm (5.2in-9.8in) to achieve your preferred viewing angle.
4. Remove Phone: Press the release button again to open the clamping arms and retrieve your phone.

• Clean Suction Cup: If the suction cup loses its stickiness, rinse it with warm water and let it air dry. This will restore its adhesive properties.
• Wipe Down: Regularly wipe down the phone holder and mounting surfaces with a damp cloth to remove dust and debris.
• Avoid Extreme Temperatures: While the suction cup is designed for extreme temperatures (-40°F to 194°F), prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or excessive heat can affect its lifespan.

Troubleshooting

• Suction Cup Not Sticking:
  • Ensure the mounting surface is clean, flat, and smooth.
  • Re-clean the suction cup and the mounting surface.
  • Ensure the lock knob is fully tightened after placement.
• Phone Not Secure:
  • Verify that the clamping arms are fully closed around your phone.
  • Check if your phone case is too thick (max 0.6 inches) or if it's a ring phone case, which may affect grip.
• Mount Wobbles:
  • Ensure all adjustable nuts and joints are securely tightened.
