3. Setup Instructions

  1. Set Current Time: Rotate the dial clockwise until the arrow indicator aligns with the current time of day. The dial is marked from 1 to 24 (representing 1 AM to 12 AM, and 1 PM to 12 PM respectively).
  2. Program ON/OFF Times: The outer ring of the dial has 96 push-down pins. Each pin represents a 15-minute interval. To set an appliance to turn ON, push the corresponding pins outwards. To set an appliance to turn OFF, leave the pins in the inward position. For example, to turn an appliance ON from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM, push out the pins between the 8 and 9 marks on the dial.

  1. Select Operating Mode: On the side of the timer, there is a slide switch. Move the switch to the 'Timer' icon for programmed operation, or to the 'Always ON' icon for continuous power, bypassing the timer settings.
  2. Connect Appliance: Plug the timer into a wall outlet. Then, plug your appliance into the timer's socket. Ensure the appliance's power switch is in the ON position if it has one, so the timer can control its power supply.

Note: This timer controls the power supply to the outlet. It cannot turn on devices with electronic switches that require a button press to activate (e.g., some air conditioners or smart devices that default to OFF after power loss).

5. Maintenance

To clean the timer, wipe it with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or immerse the timer in water.

Ensure the timer is unplugged from the wall outlet before cleaning.

Avoid exposing the timer to extreme temperatures or humidity.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Timer not working: Check if the timer is securely plugged into the wall outlet. Ensure the appliance is also securely plugged into the timer and its own power switch is ON.
  • Appliance not turning ON/OFF at programmed times: Verify that the pins are correctly pushed in/out for the desired ON/OFF intervals. Confirm the side switch is set to the 'Timer' mode, not 'Always ON'.
  • Timer stops after power outage: After a power cut, the timer's internal clock may lose its current time setting. Reset the current time by rotating the dial to the correct time of day.
  • Timer makes noise: A slight clicking sound may occur when the timer switches ON or OFF. This is normal for mechanical timers. Continuous loud buzzing is not normal and may indicate a fault.
