Setup
1. Charging the Earbuds and Case
Before first use, fully charge the earbuds and charging case. Place the earbuds into the charging case. Connect the micro USB charging cable to the charging case and a power source. The charging case provides up to 13 additional hours of listening time, while the earbuds offer up to 6.5 hours of listening and 4 hours of talk time on a single charge.

2. Fitting the Earbuds
Proper fit is crucial for sound quality and comfort. The earbuds come with small, medium, and large eartips. Experiment with different sizes to find the most secure and comfortable fit for your ears. The earbuds should sit snugly in your ear canal to create a seal for optimal audio performance and noise isolation.

3. Bluetooth Pairing
- Remove both earbuds from the charging case. They will automatically enter pairing mode.
- On your device (smartphone, tablet, computer), enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
- Select "Plantronics BackBeat PRO 5100" from the list of available devices.
- Once connected, you will hear an audible confirmation, and the earbuds' LED indicators will stop flashing.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
- Power On: Remove earbuds from the charging case. They will power on automatically.
- Power Off: Place earbuds back into the charging case. They will power off automatically.
Controls
The earbuds feature touch and physical controls for various functions:
- Play/Pause: Single tap on either earbud.
- Next Track: Double tap on the right earbud.
- Previous Track: Double tap on the left earbud.
- Volume Up: Tap and hold the right earbud.
- Volume Down: Tap and hold the left earbud.
- Answer/End Call: Single tap on either earbud.
- Reject Call: Tap and hold either earbud.
- Voice Assistant: Triple tap on either earbud.
Smart Sensors
The earbuds are equipped with smart sensors that enhance usability:
- Auto-Pause/Resume: Removing an earbud will automatically pause your media. Reinserting it will resume playback.
- Call Routing: Calls are automatically routed to the earbud you pick up, allowing for single-ear use.
Noise-Canceling Microphones
The BackBeat PRO 5100 features four noise-canceling microphones designed to reduce disruptive background noise during calls. This technology, combined with WindSmart technology, helps ensure your voice is clear, especially in outdoor environments.

Maintenance
