Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient setup, operation, and maintenance of your INTEX 28425E PureSpa Bubble Massage Inflatable Spa. The PureSpa offers a relaxing experience with its 140 high-performing bubble jets and adjustable heating system. Please read all instructions carefully before use.
Setup
Proper setup is crucial for the performance and longevity of your PureSpa. Follow these steps for initial installation:
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all listed items are present: heating system, 3-way test strip, 2 filter cartridges, floating pool chlorine dispenser, thermal ground cloth, inflation hose, and carry bag.
- Site Selection: Choose a flat, level, and stable surface for your spa. The area should be free from sharp objects and capable of supporting the spa's weight when filled with water (210 gallons).
- Ground Cloth Placement: Lay the thermal ground cloth on the selected site. This provides insulation and protection for the spa's base.
- Inflation: Use the provided inflation hose to inflate the spa. Ensure it is firm but not over-inflated.
- Control Unit Connection: Connect the control unit to the spa. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent leaks.
- Filling with Water: Fill the spa with water to the recommended level. The built-in hard water treatment system will help make the water gentler on your skin.
- Filter Cartridge Installation: Install the two easy-to-replace filter cartridges into the control unit.
- Insulated Cover: Place the insulated cover over the spa and secure it with the integrated locks. This minimizes heat loss and provides an added safety feature.

- Filter Cartridge Replacement: The spa provides simple maintenance with easy-to-replace filter cartridges. Check and replace cartridges regularly to maintain clean and refreshing spa water.
- Water Chemistry: Use the included 3-way test strip to monitor water chemistry. Adjust as needed with appropriate spa chemicals, utilizing the floating pool chlorine dispenser. The built-in hard water treatment system helps reduce mineral buildup.
- Cover Usage: Always keep the insulated cover on when the spa is not in use. This significantly minimizes heat loss and protects the spa from debris. Ensure the safety locks are engaged.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the interior and exterior of the spa with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your PureSpa, consider the following common solutions:
- Spa Not Heating: Ensure the heater function is activated on the control panel. Verify the power supply is connected and functioning correctly. Remember that the spa heats at approximately 2°F per hour, so allow sufficient time for the water to reach the desired temperature.
- Poor Water Quality: Check and clean or replace the filter cartridges. Test the water chemistry with the 3-way test strip and adjust chemical levels as necessary.
- Loss of Air Pressure: Inspect the spa for any visible punctures or loose connections on the inflation hose or valves. Ensure the air valve caps are securely tightened.
- Control Panel Not Responding: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Try resetting the unit by unplugging it for a few minutes and then plugging it back in.
