Battery Installation
The Mr Beams MB981 LED Ceiling Light requires 4 "C" size batteries (not included).
- Twist the light fixture counter-clockwise to detach it from the mounting base.
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the light fixture.
- Insert 4 "C" batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Reattach the light fixture to the mounting base by aligning the tabs and twisting clockwise until secure.
Mounting Instructions
The light can be mounted on a wall or ceiling.
- Choose a desired mounting location. Ensure the surface is suitable for drilling.
- Detach the mounting base from the light fixture by twisting counter-clockwise.
- Position the mounting base against the chosen surface and mark the screw hole locations.
- Drill pilot holes at the marked locations. If mounting into drywall, insert the provided screw anchors.
- Secure the mounting base to the surface using the provided screws.
- Align the light fixture with the secured mounting base and twist clockwise until it locks into place.

Operation
Motion Activation
The Mr Beams MB981 LED Ceiling Light is equipped with a motion sensor that automatically turns the light on when motion is detected within its range. The motion sensor has a detection angle of 140° and a range of up to 20 feet.
- The light will activate only in dark conditions to conserve battery life.
- Ensure the motion sensor is not obstructed for optimal performance.
Automatic Shut-Off
The light will automatically turn off 20 seconds after the last motion is detected. This feature helps to maximize battery efficiency.
Operating Conditions
The light is designed to operate in temperatures ranging from 0°F to 131°F (-17°C to 55°C). It has an IPX4 weatherproof rating, making it suitable for damp locations but not for submersion.

Maintenance
