Setup Instructions

1. Unpacking and Placement

Carefully remove the dispenser from its packaging. Place the dispenser upright on a hard, level surface. Ensure there is at least 4 inches of clearance from the back and sides of the dispenser to a wall to allow for proper ventilation.

2. Initial Cleaning

Before first use, clean the dispenser. Wipe down the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. The drip tray and grill can be removed and washed with mild soap and water.

3. Water Bottle Installation (Bottom-Loading)

  1. Open the lower cabinet door of the dispenser.
  2. Remove the cap from a new 3 or 5-gallon water bottle.
  3. Insert the probe assembly into the water bottle. Ensure the probe is fully inserted and the collar is securely seated on the bottle neck.
  4. Slide the water bottle into the lower cabinet.
  5. Close the cabinet door.

4. Power Connection and Initial Fill

Plug the dispenser into a grounded 120V AC outlet. The dispenser will begin to fill its internal reservoirs. This process may take several minutes. Do not dispense water until the reservoirs are full and the pump stops running.

5. Activating Heating and Cooling

Once the reservoirs are full, activate the hot and cold water functions by pressing the respective switches located on the back of the unit. Allow approximately 15-20 minutes for the water to reach optimal hot and cold temperatures.

Operating Instructions

Dispensing Water

  1. Place a cup or container under the desired spigot (hot or cold).
  2. For cold water, press the cold water button/lever.
  3. For hot water, engage the child-safety lock (if applicable) and then press the hot water button/lever.
  4. Release the button/lever once the desired amount of water is dispensed.

Caution: Hot water can reach temperatures of approximately 90°C (194°F). Exercise extreme caution.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Dispenser

  • Exterior: Wipe down the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth regularly. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Drip Tray: Empty and clean the drip tray and grill frequently to prevent overflow and bacterial growth. Wash with mild soap and water.
  • Spigots: Clean the spigots with a clean cloth and mild soap.

Sanitizing the Water Path

It is recommended to sanitize the internal water path every 3-6 months. Refer to the Primo website or contact customer support for detailed sanitization instructions specific to your model, as this may involve specialized cleaning kits.

Descaling

Mineral deposits can build up over time, especially in hard water areas. Descaling should be performed periodically to maintain optimal performance. Use a descaling solution specifically designed for water dispensers or a mixture of white vinegar and water. Follow the product's instructions carefully.
