- 4mm Allen key
Installation Steps:
- Preparation: Ensure water supply is turned off. Verify the rough-in plumbing is correctly positioned and secured. The distance between the hot and cold water inlets should be 5 7/8" (150mm).
- Install S-Unions: Apply sealant tape to the threaded ends of the S-unions. Screw the S-unions into the wall connections. Adjust them to ensure they are level and the correct distance apart (150mm). Tighten with an adjustable wrench.
- Mount Wall Bracket: Position the wall bracket over the S-unions, ensuring it is level. Mark the drilling points. Drill holes (8mm diameter) and insert wall plugs. Secure the bracket with screws.
- Connect Thermostat Body: Carefully align the thermostat body with the S-unions and the wall bracket. Secure it in place using the provided screws.
- Water Supply Check: Before proceeding, briefly turn on the water supply to check for leaks and verify correct hot/cold connections. Turn off the water supply.
- Install Shower Rail: Determine the desired height for the shower rail. The minimum distance from the top of the thermostat to the shower head connection should be 47 1/4" (1200mm). Mark the drilling points for the upper wall mount. Drill holes and insert wall plugs.
- Assemble Shower Rail: Connect the shower rail to the thermostat body. Secure the upper part of the shower rail to the wall using the provided mounting hardware.
- Install Shower Head: Attach the shower head to the shower arm. Ensure all connections are tight.
- Install Hand Shower Holder: Attach the hand shower holder to the shower rail at a comfortable height.
- Final Checks: Turn on the water supply and check all connections for leaks. Test the functionality of the thermostat and both shower outlets.

Operating Instructions
The GROHE Smart Control Shower System offers intuitive control over your shower experience.
Temperature Control:
- The temperature is controlled by the right-hand knob on the thermostat.
- Turn the knob to adjust the water temperature. The integrated GROHE TurboStat technology ensures the desired temperature is reached quickly and maintained consistently.
- A safety stop is typically set at 38°C (100°F) to prevent accidental scalding. To exceed this temperature, press the safety button and continue turning the knob.
Water Flow and Outlet Selection:
- The left-hand knob controls the water flow and selects the shower outlet.
- Push to Start/Stop: Press the button on the left knob to start or stop the water flow from the selected outlet.
- Turn to Adjust Flow: Rotate the left knob to increase or decrease the water volume.
- Outlet Selection: If your system has multiple outlets (e.g., overhead shower and hand shower), press the corresponding button on the left knob to switch between them.
