4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the unit.
- Remove the cover by twisting or unlatching it.
- Insert 2 x AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).

4.2. Tap Connection
The controller comes with various adaptors to fit most garden taps.
- Select the appropriate adaptor (21mm, 26.5mm, or 33.3mm) for your garden tap.

- Low Pressure Micro Irrigation: Suitable for 1.5 Bar systems.
- Water Butts: Operates effectively with low pressure systems from water butts (0.1 Bar).
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Automatic Watering Schedule
The built-in light sensor automatically detects sunrise and sunset, allowing for optimal watering times.
- Set Watering Frequency: Use the top dial labeled 'DAYS' to select how often watering occurs. Options include: Every Day, Every 2 Days, Every 3 Days, Every 5 Days, or Once a Week.
- Set Watering Duration and Time: Use the bottom dial labeled 'MINUTES' to select the watering duration and time of day. Options include:
- Morning Only: Select a duration (e.g., 5, 10, 20, 30, 60 minutes) under the 'Morning' icon.
- Evening Only: Select a duration (e.g., 5, 10, 20, 30, 60 minutes) under the 'Evening' icon.
- Morning and Evening: Select a duration for both morning and evening watering. For example, 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening.

5.2. Manual Watering Function
To water outside of the programmed schedule, use the 'Water Now' button.
- Press the 'Water Now' button once to activate manual watering. The default duration is 60 minutes.
- To select a different duration (2, 5, 10, 20, 30, or 60 minutes), press the 'Water Now' button repeatedly until the desired duration is indicated by the illuminated LED.
- To cancel manual watering, press the 'Water Now' button until the 'OFF' indicator lights up, or wait for the selected duration to complete.

5.3. Battery Status Check
Regularly check the battery status to ensure uninterrupted operation.
- Hold down the 'Water Now' button for a few seconds.
- The three LED lights will illuminate to indicate the remaining battery life:
- All 3 LEDs: Full battery.
- 2 LEDs: Medium battery.
- 1 LED: Low battery.
- Flashing Red LEDs: Batteries need immediate replacement. A built-in safety feature will prevent a watering cycle from starting if battery levels are critically low.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Winter Storage: Before the first frost, disconnect the controller from the tap, remove the batteries, and store the unit in a dry, frost-free location.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries promptly when the low battery indicator flashes red to ensure continuous operation.
