3. Setup Guide

3.1 Unpacking and Components

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure you have the main display unit and the remote outdoor sensor. Batteries are not included and must be purchased separately (2 x AA LR6 1.5V for the base unit, 2 x AA LR6 1.5V for the sensor).

3.2 Battery Installation

  1. Remote Sensor: Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote sensor. Insert 2 x AA LR6 1.5V batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.
  2. Main Display Unit: Open the battery compartment on the back of the main display unit. Insert 2 x AA LR6 1.5V batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.
  3. Allow a few minutes for the main unit to establish a connection with the remote sensor. The outdoor temperature and humidity should appear on the display.

3.3 Sensor Placement

Place the remote sensor in a shaded, dry location outdoors, protected from direct sunlight and rain. Ensure it is within the effective transmission range of the main display unit (typically up to 100 meters in open air). Avoid placing it near large metal objects or electrical appliances that may interfere with the signal.

3.4 Initial Settings (Time, Date, Units)

Refer to the buttons on the main unit (e.g., "TIME / DATE SETTINGS").

  1. Press and hold the "TIME / DATE SETTINGS" button to enter setup mode.
  2. Use the "+" or "-" buttons (often combined with other functions) to adjust values.
  3. Press the "TIME / DATE SETTINGS" button again to confirm and move to the next setting (e.g., 12/24 hour format, hour, minute, year, month, day, temperature unit C/F, day of week language).
  4. Exit setup mode by pressing the "TIME / DATE SETTINGS" button repeatedly until normal display resumes, or wait for automatic exit.

To view the minimum and maximum recorded temperatures and humidity:

  1. Press the "MIN/MAX" button (or similar, e.g., "MIN TEMP" / "MAX TEMP") once to display maximum values.

  3. Press a third time to return to current readings.
  4. To clear the records, press and hold the "MIN/MAX" button while viewing the records.
