Setup
Setting the Time and Date
Pull the Crown: Locate the crown on the right side of the watch case. Gently pull the crown out to the outermost position. The second hand will stop, indicating the watch is in time-setting mode.

Adjust the Time: Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to move the hour and minute hands to the desired time. Ensure you set the correct AM/PM by observing the date change. If the date changes when setting past 12 o'clock, it is midnight (AM).
Set the Date: Push the crown in halfway to the middle position. Rotate the crown to adjust the date. If your watch has a quick-set date feature, the date will change independently of the time. If not, you may need to rotate the hands past 24 hours to advance the date.
Push the Crown In: Once the time and date are set, push the crown back into its original, fully-in position. The second hand will resume movement, and the watch will begin keeping time.
Strap Adjustment
The watch features an adjustable green 20mm nylon strap designed to fit a wrist circumference of up to 8 inches. Adjust the buckle to achieve a comfortable and secure fit on your wrist.
Operating Instructions
Indiglo Night-Light
Your Timex Expedition Scout watch is equipped with the Indiglo night-light feature for illumination in low-light conditions. To activate Indiglo, simply press and hold the crown. The entire dial will illuminate. Release the crown to turn off the light.

Water Resistance
This watch is water resistant to 50 meters (165 feet). This rating means the watch is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming. It is not suitable for diving, snorkeling, or prolonged water activities. To maintain water resistance, ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water. Avoid operating the crown while the watch is wet or submerged.
Maintenance
Battery Replacement
The watch requires 1 Lithium Metal battery (included). When the watch stops running or the Indiglo light dims significantly, the battery may need replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.
Cleaning Your Watch
- Case: Wipe the watch case with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Strap: The nylon strap can be gently cleaned with mild soap and water. Allow it to air dry completely before wearing.
Troubleshooting
- Watch Not Running: Ensure the crown is fully pushed in. If it is, the battery may need replacement.
- Indiglo Not Working: Check if the battery is low. If the battery is new and the Indiglo still doesn't work, contact customer support.
- Date Not Changing: Ensure the crown is in the correct position for date adjustment. If the date is stuck, try advancing the time past 24 hours.
