7. Troubleshooting
7.1. No Internet Access
- Check Connections: Ensure all Ethernet cables are securely connected to the correct ports (WAN to modem, LAN to devices).
- Modem Status: Verify that your modem is working correctly and has an active internet connection.
- Router LEDs: Check the router's system and WAN LEDs. If the WAN LED is off or red, there might be an issue with the internet connection from your ISP or modem.
- Restart Devices: Power cycle your modem, then the router, and then your connected devices.
- ISP Settings: Confirm your internet connection type (Dynamic IP, Static IP, PPPoE) and credentials are correctly configured in the router's settings.
7.2. Slow Wi-Fi Speed
- Signal Strength: Ensure your device is within optimal range of the router. Walls and other obstructions can weaken the signal.
- Interference: Move the router away from other electronic devices (e.g., cordless phones, microwaves) that operate on similar frequencies.
- Channel Optimization: In the router's settings, try changing the Wi-Fi channel for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands to a less congested one.
- Band Selection: For higher speeds, connect devices that support 5 GHz Wi-Fi to the 5 GHz band.
- Firmware: Ensure your router's firmware is up to date.
7.3. Cannot Access Router's Web Interface
- IP Address: Ensure you are using the correct IP address (
tendawifi.comor192.168.0.1). - Connection: Verify your device is connected to the router's network (either wirelessly or via Ethernet).
- Browser Cache: Clear your web browser's cache and cookies, or try a different browser.
- Firewall/Antivirus: Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software on your computer that might be blocking access.
- Factory Reset: If all else fails, perform a factory reset (see Maintenance section).
