1. Introduction and Overview

This Vicks Warm Mist Humidifier provides soothing, warm moisture and a calming environment. It is designed to help relieve cough and congestion, keep throat and nasal passages hydrated, and temporarily relieve dry air discomfort by maintaining indoor humidity levels between 40-60%.

The Vicks V750 model is filter-free, ensuring easy maintenance, and features quiet operation with a soft-glow nightlight, making it suitable for bedrooms and children's rooms. Its 1.0-gallon tank allows for up to 24 hours of continuous operation on the lowest setting, with an automatic shut-off feature when the tank is empty.

3. Setup

  1. Placement: Place the humidifier on a firm, level, and water-resistant surface at least 12 inches away from walls and furniture. Ensure it is not placed on carpet or near heat sources.
  2. Remove Water Tank: Lift the water tank from the humidifier base.
  3. Fill Water Tank: Unscrew the tank cap located at the bottom of the water tank. Fill the tank with cool, clean tap water. Do not use hot water as it can damage the unit.
  4. Secure Tank Cap: Tightly screw the tank cap back onto the water tank.
  5. Place Tank on Base: Carefully place the filled water tank back onto the humidifier base, ensuring it is properly seated.
  6. Connect Power: Plug the humidifier into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

Once the humidifier is set up and plugged in, you can begin operation:

  • Power On/Mist Control: Turn the control knob located on the front of the unit clockwise to select your desired mist output. The unit has two settings: Low (indicated by one droplet icon) and High (indicated by two droplet icons).
  • Warm Mist Production: The humidifier will begin to produce warm mist within a few minutes of being turned on.
  • VapoPads Usage: For soothing, non-medicated vapors, open the VapoPad slot located on the side of the unit and insert up to two Vicks VapoPads. Close the slot securely.
  • VapoSteam Usage: For medicated vapors, add Vicks VapoSteam to the designated medicine cup on the top of the unit. Do not add VapoSteam directly into the water tank.
  • Nightlight: The control knob features a soft-glow nightlight for added convenience in dark rooms.
  • Auto Shut-Off: The humidifier will automatically turn off when the water tank is empty. The indicator light will change to red, signaling that a refill is needed.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning is essential to ensure optimal performance and hygiene of your Vicks Warm Mist Humidifier. The filter-free design simplifies this process.

  1. Daily Maintenance:
    • Turn off the humidifier and unplug it from the power outlet.
    • Lift the water tank from the base and empty any remaining water.
    • Rinse the water tank and medicine cup with cool water.
    • Wipe the base clean with a soft, damp cloth.
  2. Weekly Cleaning (or as needed for mineral buildup):
    • Follow daily maintenance steps.
    • To remove mineral deposits from the heating element and water tank, fill the tank with a solution of one cup undiluted white vinegar and one gallon of water. Let it stand for 20 minutes.
    • Empty the solution and rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water until the vinegar smell is gone.
    • For stubborn deposits, gently scrub with a soft brush.
    • Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing the unit.
