Setup

Initial Time Setting

To set the time on your Casio F-200W-1ACF watch, press the MODE button repeatedly until you reach the time setting mode. Use the ADJUST button to select the digit you wish to change (e.g., hours, minutes, year, month, day). Press the START or LIGHT button to increment the selected value. Once all settings are correct, press MODE again to exit the setting mode.

Battery Information

The watch comes with a pre-installed CR2 battery, designed for an approximate 10-year lifespan. No initial battery installation is required.

Operating Instructions

Timekeeping Mode

This is the default mode, displaying the current time (hour, minute, second), day of the week, and date. Pressing the LIGHT button will activate the LED backlight.

LED Backlight

Press the LIGHT button (usually located on the top right) to illuminate the display for easy viewing in low light conditions. The backlight will remain active for a few seconds.

Stopwatch Function

To use the stopwatch, press the MODE button until you reach the stopwatch mode. Press START (bottom right button) to begin timing. Press START again to pause the stopwatch. To reset the stopwatch to zero, press the ADJUST button while the stopwatch is paused.

Alarm Function

Navigate to the alarm mode by pressing the MODE button. Use the ADJUST button to select the hour or minute digits, and the START button to change the values. Once set, the alarm will sound daily at the specified time. You can also activate or deactivate the hourly time signal in this mode.

Dual Time Mode

The dual time mode allows you to display a second time zone. Press MODE to cycle to the dual time display. You can set this second time independently using the ADJUST and START buttons, similar to setting the main time.

Countdown Timer

Access the countdown timer mode via the MODE button. Set your desired countdown duration using the ADJUST and START buttons. Press START to begin the countdown. An alert will sound when the timer reaches zero.

Maintenance

Water Resistance

This watch is water resistant. It is suitable for everyday use and can withstand splashes or brief immersion in water. It is NOT suitable for diving, swimming, showering, or bathing. Submerging the watch in water for extended periods is not recommended.

Cleaning

To clean your watch, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by thorough drying. Avoid using chemical cleaners, solvents, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the watch's finish and components.

Battery Replacement

While the battery has an approximate 10-year life, when replacement is eventually needed, it is recommended to have it performed by a qualified watch technician. This ensures proper battery installation and re-sealing of the watch case to maintain its water resistance.

Troubleshooting

Display is blank or dim

If the display is blank or appears dim, the battery may be low or depleted. Consider replacing the battery. Ensure the watch has not been exposed to extreme temperatures that could affect display visibility.

Buttons are unresponsive

Check if the watch is in a specific mode that might temporarily disable certain buttons. If buttons remain unresponsive, a soft reset might be necessary. For specific reset procedures, consult the full Casio module manual for your watch's movement, or contact Casio support.

Time is inaccurate

Re-set the time according to the "Initial Time Setting" section. Quartz movements are generally accurate, but extreme temperatures or strong magnetic fields can sometimes affect performance. Ensure the watch is not exposed to such conditions.
