1. Charging the Earset

Before initial use, fully charge the earset. Place the earset into the charging cradle on the base unit. The charging indicator light on the base will illuminate to confirm charging. A full charge typically takes approximately 3 hours.

2. Connecting to a Desk Phone

1. Disconnect the handset coil cord from the base of your desk phone.
2. Connect the telephone interface cable from the CS70N base unit to the handset port on your desk phone.
3. Connect the desk phone's handset coil cord to the designated port on the CS70N base unit.
4. Connect the AC power adapter to the CS70N base unit and then to a power outlet.

Note: Ensure all connections are secure. Refer to your desk phone's manual if you encounter issues with sound or dial tone.

Wearing the Earset

The CS70N is designed for behind-the-ear wear. Gently place the earset over your ear, ensuring the ear tip fits comfortably in your ear canal and the microphone boom is positioned near your mouth. Adjust for optimal comfort and microphone placement.

Making and Answering Calls

• To Answer a Call: Press the Call Control button on the earset.
• To End a Call: Press the Call Control button again.
• To Make a Call: Lift the earset from the base (this will activate the headset). Dial the number on your desk phone.

Volume Control

Use the volume up (+) and volume down (-) buttons located on the earset to adjust the listening volume during a call.

Mute Function

Press the Mute button on the earset to mute your microphone. Press it again to unmute. A tone may indicate when mute is active.

Cleaning

• Wipe the earset and charging base with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
• Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents.
• Periodically clean ear tips with a damp cloth and mild soap, then dry thoroughly before reattaching.

Storage

When not in use, store the earset on its charging base to ensure it is always ready for use and to maintain battery health. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

No Dial Tone or Sound

• Ensure all cables are securely connected between the CS70N base and the desk phone.
• Verify the AC power adapter is plugged in and the base unit has power.
• Check the volume settings on both the earset and your desk phone.

Poor Audio Quality

• Ensure the earset is fully charged.
• Adjust the microphone boom closer to your mouth.
• Check for any interference from other electronic devices.

Earset Not Charging

• Ensure the earset is correctly seated in the charging cradle.
• Verify the AC power adapter is connected and receiving power.
• Clean the charging contacts on both the earset and the base with a dry cloth.
