4. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your juice dispenser:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage if desired.
  2. Clean: Before first use, wash all parts that will come into contact with beverages (juice container, lid, ice chamber, spigot) with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  3. Assemble Spigot: Ensure the spigot is securely attached to the juice container. If it requires assembly, follow the instructions provided with the spigot. Ensure all washers and nuts are tightened to prevent leaks.
  4. Place Drip Tray: Position the removable drip tray onto the stainless steel base.
  5. Position Juice Container: Carefully place the clean polycarbonate juice container onto the stainless steel base, ensuring it sits securely above the drip tray.
  6. Insert Ice Chamber: If using, fill the stainless steel ice chamber with ice cubes and insert it into the center of the juice container.
  7. Add Beverage: Pour your desired cold beverage into the polycarbonate container. Do not overfill.
  8. Place Lid: Securely place the stainless steel lid on top of the juice container.

5. Operating Instructions

Using your Winco Juice Dispenser is straightforward:

  1. Ensure the dispenser is fully assembled and filled with your cold beverage.
  2. To dispense, push the spigot lever down. The beverage will flow out.
  3. To stop dispensing, release the spigot lever.
  4. Monitor the ice chamber and refill with ice as needed to maintain beverage temperature.
  5. Regularly check the drip tray and empty it when full to prevent overflow.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your dispenser.

Daily Cleaning:

  1. Empty: After each use, empty any remaining beverage from the container.
  2. Disassemble: Remove the lid, ice chamber, and juice container from the base. Detach the spigot from the container. Empty the drip tray.
  3. Wash: Hand wash all components (juice container, lid, ice chamber, spigot, drip tray) with warm water and a mild, non-abrasive dish soap. Use a soft cloth or sponge. For the spigot, ensure thorough cleaning to prevent residue buildup.
  4. Rinse: Rinse all parts thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap residue.
  5. Dry: Dry all components completely with a soft, clean cloth to prevent water spots and rust on stainless steel parts. Allow the polycarbonate container to air dry fully before reassembly or storage.
  6. Clean Base: Wipe down the stainless steel base with a damp cloth and dry immediately.

Storage:

Store the disassembled, clean, and dry dispenser in a cool, dry place. Avoid stacking heavy items on the polycarbonate container to prevent damage.

7. Troubleshooting

Here are solutions to common issues you might encounter:

  • Leakage from Spigot:
    Solution: Ensure the spigot is properly installed and tightened. Check that all rubber washers are correctly seated and not damaged. If the spigot is old or damaged, it may need replacement.
  • Slow Dispensing:
    Solution: Check if the beverage contains pulp or fruit pieces that might be clogging the spigot. Clean the spigot thoroughly. Ensure the ice chamber is not obstructing the flow.
  • Beverage Not Staying Cold:
    Solution: Ensure the ice chamber is filled with sufficient ice. Replace melted ice regularly. The dispenser is designed for temporary chilling, not long-term refrigeration.
  • Cloudy Polycarbonate Container:
    Solution: This can occur from using abrasive cleaners or hard water. Use only mild soap and soft cloths for cleaning. For hard water stains, a solution of white vinegar and water can help, followed by thorough rinsing.
