4. Setup
Important Pre-requisite: Zigbee Hub Required
This product is a Zigbee version. Users MUST have a compatible Zigbee hub (e.g., Tuya Zigbee hub) to operate this sensor. Without a Zigbee hub, this sensor will NOT function.
Device Overview

- Set Button:
- Short press: Report temperature and humidity.
- Press twice: Switch temperature unit between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
- Long press (for 3 seconds): Enter network configuration mode.
Pairing with a Zigbee Gateway (eWeLink App)
Follow these steps to connect your sensor to a Zigbee gateway via the eWeLink app:
- Download and Register: Download the eWeLink app from your app store or by scanning the QR code below. Register and log in to your account.
- Add Device: On the app's home page, tap the "+" icon (top right corner or middle) to add a device. Choose "Quickly to add" or search manually.
- Connect to Gateway: Select your Zigbee gateway (ensure it is already configured and online).
- Pair Sensor: On the gateway homepage in the app, select "Add devices" → "Add new devices". Long press the sensor's RESET button with a pin for more than 5 seconds until the indicator light flashes quickly. The app will then discover nearby devices. Confirm the pairing.
- Verify Connection: Once connected, an icon for the temperature and humidity sensor will appear on the app's homepage. Tap the icon to view real-time temperature and humidity data.

Connecting with Amazon Alexa / Google Assistant
After successfully pairing the sensor with your Zigbee gateway and the eWeLink app, you can integrate it with Alexa or Google Assistant for voice control:
- Enable Skill: Open the Alexa or Google Home app. Search for and enable the "eWeLink Smart Home" skill.
- Link Account: Link your eWeLink account with Alexa/Google Assistant.
- Discover Devices: Ask Alexa to "Discover devices" or manually initiate device discovery in the app. The sensor should appear as a thermostat or temperature/humidity sensor.
- Voice Control: You can now use voice commands, e.g., "Alexa, what is the temperature in the living room?"

5. Operating Instructions
Real-time Monitoring
Once connected to your Zigbee gateway and the eWeLink app, the sensor will continuously monitor temperature and humidity. You can view the current readings directly on the sensor's LCD display or through the eWeLink app on your smartphone.
Switching Temperature Units
To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) on the sensor's display, quickly press the reset button twice.
Data Reporting
- The sensor collects data once every minute.
- Data is reported to the app every 30 minutes.
- Additionally, data is reported immediately if a deviation of more than 0.5°C in temperature or 5%RH in humidity is detected.
Historical Data
The eWeLink app allows you to view historical temperature and humidity changes, providing insights into your environment over time.

6. Intelligent Features
Intelligent Linkage
Leverage the eWeLink app to create smart scenes and automations. For example, you can set a specific temperature or humidity threshold in the app to automatically turn on or off other smart devices, such as an air conditioner or humidifier, when the threshold is met.

Voice Control
As detailed in the setup section, once integrated with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, you can use voice commands to inquire about the current temperature and humidity readings from your sensor.
7. Maintenance
Battery Replacement
The sensor uses a CR2032 coin cell battery. Due to its ultra-low power consumption design, one battery can last for more than 10 months. When the low voltage alert (≤2.5V) is triggered, replace the battery to ensure continuous operation.

Environmental Considerations
To ensure optimal performance and longevity, avoid using the sensor in environments with humidity exceeding 90% for extended periods.
8. Troubleshooting
- Sensor not pairing or indicator light not flashing:
- Ensure you are long-pressing the reset button for more than 5 seconds with a pin until the indicator light flashes quickly.
- Verify that the sensor's CR2032 battery is not depleted. Replace if necessary.
- Confirm that your Zigbee gateway is properly set up and online within the eWeLink app.
- No data updates in the app:
- Check the sensor's battery level.
- Ensure the sensor is within range of your Zigbee gateway.
- Verify your internet connection for the Zigbee gateway.
- Inaccurate readings:
- Ensure the sensor is not placed near heat sources (e.g., direct sunlight, heating vents) or sources of high humidity (e.g., steam, open water).
- Avoid placing the sensor in areas with poor air circulation.
9. User Tips
- Optimal Placement: Place the sensor in key areas like children's rooms, living rooms, or offices to monitor comfort and air quality. Its compact size allows for versatile placement on a desk or wall-mounted.
- Smart Automation: Utilize the intelligent linkage feature in the eWeLink app to automate climate control. For instance, set your humidifier to turn on if humidity drops below a certain percentage.
- Regular Monitoring: Regularly check the historical data in the eWeLink app to identify trends and make informed decisions about your indoor environment.
- Battery Life: While the battery lasts over 10 months, it's good practice to check the battery status in the app periodically, especially if you notice infrequent data updates.
