4.2 Material Preparation

  • Secure your material (metal, wood, acrylic) firmly to the work bed using clamps or other appropriate fixtures.
  • Ensure the material is flat and properly aligned within the engraving area (60x50cm).

4.3 Tool Setup and Calibration

  • Install the appropriate cutting bit or laser module for your project.
  • Use the included Tool Probe for precise Z-axis calibration, ensuring accurate depth control for engraving and cutting.
  • Adjust spindle speed or laser power settings via the 3.5" touch screen or connected software.

4.4 Loading G-Code and Starting Operation

  • Load your G-code file (generated from CAD/CAM software) onto the machine via USB or other supported methods.
  • Review the job parameters on the touch screen.
  • Initiate the engraving or cutting process. The machine can operate at speeds up to 5000mm/min.
  • Monitor the process closely. The integrated illumination above the spindle provides clear visibility of the work area.
  • The infrared sensor will help prevent accidents by detecting obstructions.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Regular Cleaning

  • After each use, clean the work bed and surrounding areas to remove dust, chips, and debris.
  • The hidden design of the transmission parts minimizes debris accumulation, but regular inspection is still recommended.
  • Use a soft brush or compressed air to clean the spindle and tool holder.

5.2 Lubrication

Periodically apply a small amount of appropriate lubricant to the linear guides and ball screws to ensure smooth movement and prevent wear. Consult the manufacturer's recommendations for lubricant type and frequency.

5.3 Inspection

  • Regularly inspect all cables for signs of wear or damage.
  • Check that all fasteners are tight.
  • Examine cutting bits and laser modules for sharpness or damage and replace as needed.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Machine Not Powering On

  • Check if the power cable is securely connected to both the machine and the power outlet.
  • Ensure the power switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • Verify the power outlet is functional.

6.2 Poor Engraving/Cutting Quality

  • Unstable Material: Ensure the material is firmly secured to the work bed.
  • Worn Tool: Replace dull or damaged cutting bits/laser modules.
  • Incorrect Settings: Adjust spindle speed, feed rate, or laser power according to the material and desired outcome.
  • Calibration Issues: Re-calibrate the Z-axis using the Tool Probe.

6.3 Machine Stops Mid-Operation

  • Safety Sensor Triggered: Check if the infrared sensor detected an obstruction. Clear the path and restart the operation.
  • Software Error: Check the control unit's touch screen for error messages. Restart the machine and software if necessary.
  • Overheating: If using optional cooling systems, ensure they are functioning correctly. Allow the machine to cool down.

8. User Tips

  • Start Simple: Begin with less complex projects and softer materials (like wood or acrylic) to familiarize yourself with the machine's operation before moving to harder materials or intricate designs.
  • Material Securement: Always ensure your material is rigidly clamped. Any movement during operation can lead to inaccurate results or damage to the workpiece/tool.
  • Software Proficiency: Invest time in learning your CAD/CAM software. Understanding tool paths, feed rates, and depths of cut is crucial for optimal results.
  • Regular Calibration: Even with a tool probe, periodically double-check your Z-axis zero point, especially for projects requiring high precision.
  • Dust Management: While the hidden transmission parts help, consider additional dust collection solutions for cleaner operation and extended machine life.
