Machine Wiring:

Connect the X-axis motor cable, X-axis limit cable, and Y2 motor cable. Ensure proper wiring for Y2 motor pair, Y-axis limit, and laser module. After wiring, push the machine to move and check for wire interference.

Honeycomb Panel Introduction:

Use honeycomb pins fixed in the corners of the material to prevent buckling. Note: Stainless steel may deform with heat, making honeycomb pins less stable.

Stick non-slip sheets to the aluminium sheet: Confirm the position of the anti-slip sheet on the honeycomb board and apply it. Be mindful of the honeycomb board corner protection.

External auxiliary accessories can be added (included only in some packs): Heightening kit, Rotary module, Engraving Material Pack.

GRBL Introduction

1. Software Downloading

LaserGRBL is a popular DIY laser engraving software available for download at http://lasergrbl.com/download/. It is also available on the TF card. LaserGRBL is easy to use and supports Windows systems. For Mac users, LightBurn is recommended.

2. Software Installation

Double-click the software installation package and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

3. Language

Click "Language" on the menu to select your preferred language.

4. Load Engraving File

Click "File" > "Open File" and select the desired image. LaserGRBL supports NC, BMP, JPG, PNG, etc.

Set picture parameters, engraving mode and engraving quality.

  1. Adjust sharpness, brightness, contrast, and highlight of the target graph in LaserGRBL. Preview the effect during adjustment.
  2. Choose engraving mode: "Line-to-line Tracking" or "lBit Shaking". "lBit Shaking" is suitable for grayscale graphs. Select "Vector Diagram" or "Center Line" for cutting.
  3. Engraving quality relates to the laser scanning line width, dependent on the laser spot size. Recommended engraving quality is 12-15.
  4. Rotate, mirror, cut, and adjust the graph in the preview window.

Set engraving speed, engraving energy, and engraving size

  1. Recommended engraving speed is 1000 mm/min. Adjust as needed.
  2. Laser modes: M3 and M4. M4 is recommended for "Ibit jitter" mode; M3 for other cases.
  3. Choose engraving energy based on the material.
  4. Set the size and click "Create" to complete parameter settings.

Save GCODE file: Click "File" > "Save" and copy the .nc file to the TF card for engraving. Use "MKSLaserTool" software in the TF card to add preview codes to Gcode files.

Reference of Materials

Tables provide recommended speed, power, and times for engraving and cutting various materials like Plywood, Acrylic, Leather, etc. Adjust parameters based on material properties.

Note: Energy value is set to 500, laser intensity is 50%. Energy value 1000, intensity is 100%. Higher energy allows faster speed.

Test Before Use

  1. Turn on the machine and connect it to the computer.
  2. Movement test: Control the machine's movement in the software to check direction and distance.
  3. Laser emission test: Send out a laser signal and observe if the laser module emits blue light. Wear goggles.
  4. Test files in the TF card: Follow instructions to avoid injury, as laser generates heat and glare.

Maintenance: Clean the laser head lens regularly after powering off the machine. Allow the lens to dry for 3-5 minutes before powering on.

APP Connection

  1. Connect to the machine's WIFI signal (e.g., Laser_XXXXX) with password "12345678".
