X-axis parallel adjustment method

Description: This section details how to ensure the X-axis crossbeam is parallel to the Y-axis. It involves moving components to specific scale marks (A1, A2) and tightening screws on the synchronizing wheel.

Attention: Please make sure the X-axis crossbeam is parallel to the Y-axis (check ruler marks on both sides as reference) during installation, otherwise it would affect the movement of Y-axis and engraving effects.

Step 1: Move the left component of the Y-axis to the scale 300 (A1).

Step 2: Loosen the two screws on the synchronizing wheel with a hexagonal wrench, move the right component of the Y-axis to 300 of the scale (A2), and then lock the screws. If the screws are not locked, it will affect the Y-axis movement and engraving effect.

Step 3: If you need further assistance, scan the QR code on the cover of the manual for video tutorials.

GRBL Beginner's Guide

1. Software Downloading

LaserGRBL is a popular DIY laser engraving software available for download at http://lasergrbl.com/download/. The installation package may also be on the TF card. LaserGRBL is easy to use and supports Windows systems (XP, 7, 8, 10). For Mac users, LightBurn is recommended, though it is not free. The engraving machine must be connected to the computer during engraving, and the software cannot be turned off.

2. Software Installation

Double-click the software installation package and follow the on-screen prompts by clicking "Next" until the installation is complete.

3. Language

Select the desired language from the "Language" menu at the top of the LaserGRBL interface.

4. Load Engraving File

Click "File" then "Open File" to select the desired graph. LaserGRBL supports file formats such as NC, BMP, JPG, PNG, etc.

5. Set picture parameters, engraving mode and engraving quality

Adjust the sharpness, brightness, contrast, and highlight of the target graph in the preview window. Engraving modes include "Line-to-line Tracking" and "1 Bit Shaking" (suitable for grayscale). For cutting, choose "Vector Diagram" or "Center Line". Engraving quality relates to the laser scanning line width, with a recommended range of 12-15. The graph can also be rotated, mirrored, or cut. After settings are complete, click "Next" to configure engraving speed, energy, and size.

CONNECT PC

  1. Connect the machine to the computer using a USB data cable and start the machine.
  2. Plug in the power.
  3. Open LaserGRBL on the computer.
  4. Select the correct COM port and baud rate (115200).
  5. Click the lightning sign. A successful connection is indicated by the lightning sign changing to red "X" and the direction sign lighting up. If the COM port is not automatically detected, check the Device Manager.

Save GCODE file: Click "File" > "Save" in the software. Copy the saved .nc file to the TF card and insert it into the engraver to use.

LightBurn INTRODUCTION

LightBurn is a powerful, paid engraving software available at https://LightBurnsoftware.com/. It supports layout, editing, and control for laser engraving machines. Features include importing various vector and image formats, powerful editing functions, and compatibility with Windows, Mac OS, and Linux (requires activation). The machine must be connected to the computer, and its software cannot be closed during operation.

Z-AXIS AUTO-FOCUSING CONFIGURATION GUIDE

Working Principle:

The laser module lifter moves down. When the probe touches the engraving surface, the Z-axis limit switch activates, and the laser module moves upward to a pre-set lifting height. Once the lifting height is set in the software, the machine automatically completes focusing. When the laser module moves 7mm upward (lifting height set to 7mm), the focal length (distance between laser module to engraving surface) is 50mm.

Lightburn Custom Auto Focus Import Tutorial

  1. Turn on the machine and connect to the computer. The "Console" should indicate a successful connection.
  2. Click the "Device" icon, then "Devices", and select the "TS2 Engraver" file from the pop-up window.
  3. Select the device and the configuration file interface will display.
  4. About macro instructions:
    • Macro command - Z-axis lift 20mm: Lifts the Z-axis to avoid probe collision during movement.
    • Macro command - engraving: Executes focal length settings for engraving any material.
    • Macro command - cutting 2MM: Sets focal length for cutting 2mm thick material (Z-1 in the command refers to half the material thickness).

Notice: After importing the configuration file, modify the start position to "Current Position" and the job origin to "Lower Left Corner".

Note: For other material thicknesses, scan the QR code for video tutorials. Download configuration files from the TF card or scan the QR code.

LaserGRBL Custom Auto Focus Import Tutorial

Add Custom Button:

LaserGRBL supports custom buttons. Right-click the button area to add new ones. It is recommended to use manufacturer-provided custom buttons from the TF card.

How to load into software:
