1. Introduction

The HPRT Z1 Instant Camera is a portable mini color photo printer and instant camera machine designed for capturing and printing memories on the go. With Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, you can also print photos directly from your mobile device via the HeyPhoto APP. 3. Setup

3.1. Charging the Camera

Before first use, fully charge the camera using the provided USB cable and a compatible power adapter. The charging indicator light will typically show the charging status and turn off or change color when fully charged.

3.2. Loading Photo Paper

  1. Locate the paper compartment door on the camera.
  2. Open the compartment door.
  3. Insert the HPRT ZINK photo paper stack into the compartment, ensuring the glossy side is facing up and the smart sheet (if included) is at the bottom of the stack.
  4. Close the compartment door securely.

3.3. Powering On/Off

Press and hold the power button (usually located on the side or top) for a few seconds to turn the camera on or off.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Taking a Photo

  1. Turn on the camera.
  2. Frame your shot using the 2.8-inch full-view screen. The camera features auto-focus for ease of use.
  3. Press the shutter button (typically on the top) to capture the image.

4.2. Previewing and Printing

After taking a photo, you can preview it on the screen. Use the navigation buttons to review images. You can also edit and tone the photo directly on the camera before printing. Confirm your adjustments, then select the print option to initiate printing. This helps avoid wasting photo paper.

4.3. Using Filters

The camera offers an 8-gear filter knob. Rotate this knob gently to switch between various filter effects and apply them to your photos for different artistic styles. The screen will display the effect in real-time.

4.4. Using Flash and Fill Light

  • Fill Flash Light: For dark environments, the built-in fill flash light with 5K color temperature helps to clarify light and shadow, ensuring true color presentation.
  • Soft-Focus Fill Halo Light: When taking selfies in dim conditions, press the dedicated button to activate the soft-focus fill halo light, which brightens your images and skin tone.

4.5. Connecting to a Mobile Phone (HeyPhoto APP)

  1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile phone.
  2. Download and install the HeyPhoto APP from your device's app store.
  3. Turn on the HPRT Z1 camera.
  4. Open the HeyPhoto APP and follow the on-screen instructions to pair your camera via Bluetooth 5.2.
  5. Once connected, you can operate the camera, edit photos, and print HD photos directly from your phone's album.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning the Camera

  • Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to clean the exterior of the camera.
  • For the lens and screen, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth and solution if necessary, applying the solution to the cloth, not directly to the camera.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

5.2. Storing Photo Paper

Store ZINK photo paper in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, to maintain print quality.

5.3. ZINK Technology

The HPRT Z1 uses ZINK (ZERO INK) printing technology, which means the color is embedded in the paper itself. The camera precisely controls the heating temperature of each pixel on a semiconductor heating element to produce color photos. This technology is smart, environmentally friendly, and provides instant imaging.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1. Camera Not Turning On

  • Ensure the camera is fully charged. Connect it to a power source and wait for the charging indicator.
  • Try pressing and holding the power button for a longer duration (5-10 seconds).

6.2. Printing Issues (No Print / Poor Quality)

  • Check if photo paper is loaded correctly and not jammed.
  • Ensure there is enough photo paper in the compartment.
  • Verify the photo paper is HPRT ZINK compatible paper.
  • Clean the print head area gently with a soft cloth if accessible (refer to specific instructions if available).
  • Ensure the camera battery is not critically low.

6.3. Bluetooth Connection Problems

  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on both the camera and your mobile device.
  • Ensure the camera is within range of your mobile device.
  • Restart both the camera and your mobile device.
  • Try unpairing and re-pairing the devices through the HeyPhoto APP.
  • Ensure the HeyPhoto APP is updated to the latest version.

6.4. Screen Display Issues

  • Adjust the screen brightness settings.
  • Restart the camera.
  • If the screen is unresponsive, ensure the camera is charged and try a hard reset (if a reset button is available, otherwise power cycle).
