This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your MOES Brass Water Timer (Model SGW06). This device is designed to automate your watering schedule, offering features like timed watering, rain delay, and child lock for efficient and convenient irrigation.
The water timer is a control component in fluid transportation systems, capable of shut-off, regulation, diversion, backflow prevention, pressure stabilization, and overflow pressure relief. It is suitable for controlling various types of fluids, including water.
2. Safety Warnings and Important Notes
- Do not disassemble, reassemble, modify, or attempt to repair this product yourself. All repairs should be performed by authorized professionals.
- This timer is only suitable for 3/4" thread standards.
- Clean the filter regularly and replace it if worn to extend the timer's working life.
- In winter, remove batteries, drain the timer, and store it indoors to prevent freezing damage.
- Do not install the timer with tools. Hand tighten ONLY. Using tools may damage the timer.
- Do not subject the product to extreme force and shock.
- To prevent leakage, ensure the water timer is tightly attached to the faucet and hose. Add a rubber washer and thread seal tape if necessary.
- If Zone 1 and Zone 2 are turned on at the same time, the water output time will be different.
- For outdoor use only.
- Do not insert rechargeable batteries to avoid low voltage issues.
- The timer does not have programmable memory; it needs to be reset once power is off.

5. Installation
5.1. Installing the Battery
- Remove the battery cover on the back of the timer.
- Install 2 new AA (1.5V) alkaline batteries (not included). Do not use rechargeable batteries.
- Firmly reinstall the cover back into the timer to ensure water resistance.
- Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display.
5.2. Installing the Timer
- Attach the timer to an outdoor hose faucet. Ensure it is a 3/4" thread standard.
- Hand tighten ONLY. Do not use tools, as this may damage the timer.
- To prevent leakage, ensure the connection is tight. Add a rubber washer and thread seal tape if necessary.
- Turn on the tap after programming the timer.
6. Operation: Automatic Watering Program Setting
The timer features a rotary knob and four buttons (+, -, OK, Zone) for programming.
6.1. Set Clock
- Turn the dial to SET CLOCK.
- Press the "+" or "-" buttons to set the current hour and minutes.
- Use the "OK" button to switch between setting hours and minutes.
- Turn the dial to save changes.
Tip: Hold the "+" or "-" button to change the time quickly. If you press "OK" at the end of setting, it will go back to the previous step. Always turn the dial to save changes.
6.2. Set Start Time
- Turn the dial to START TIME.
- Press the "ZONE" button to switch between Zone 1 and Zone 2.
- Press the "+" or "-" buttons to set the desired start hour and minutes.
- Use the "OK" button to switch between setting hours and minutes.
- Turn the dial to save changes.
Note: If the START TIME is earlier than the current time ("NOW"), the scheduled task will be executed the next day.
6.3. Set How Long (Watering Duration)
- Turn the dial to HOW LONG.
- Press the "ZONE" button to switch between Zone 1 and Zone 2.
- Press the "+" or "-" buttons to set the watering duration.
- Use the "OK" button to switch between setting hours and minutes.
- Turn the dial to save changes.
Note: The watering duration can be set from 1 minute to 5 hours and 59 minutes. If "HOW LONG" is set to 0 minutes, the scheduled task will not be executed for that zone.
6.4. Set How Often (Watering Frequency)
- Turn the dial to HOW OFTEN.
- Press the "ZONE" button to switch between Zone 1 and Zone 2.
- Press the "+" or "-" buttons to set the watering frequency in hours or days.
- Turn the dial to save changes.
You can choose to water from every 1 to 23 hours, or every 1 to 7 days.
Examples of watering frequencies:
- Every 1 day: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun
- Every 2 days: Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun (or similar pattern)
- Every 3 days: Mon, Thu, Sun (or similar pattern)
6.5. Auto Mode
- Turn the dial to AUTO.
- The watering plan will be automatically executed based on your programmed settings.
- The display will show the current day and time, followed by the next watering plan.
Note: If "HOW LONG" was set to 0 minutes for a zone, the "NEXT" display for that zone will show "OFF".
6.6. OFF Mode
- Turn the dial to OFF.
- The screen will show "OFF" and the battery level.
- All programmed settings are saved, and the timer stops working.
6.7. Manual Watering
Ensure the timer is in AUTO mode before initiating manual watering.
- Press the "OK" button and then press "+" or "-" to select the watering duration from 0 minutes to 59 minutes.
- Press the "ZONE" button to switch between Zone 1 and Zone 2.
- Press the "OK" button again to start manual watering for the selected zone.
- To end manual watering, press the "OK" button again. The timer will switch back to Auto mode, even if watering is still active.
Note: To manually water only Zone 1, set Zone 2's duration to 0 minutes. To manually water only Zone 2, set Zone 1's duration to 0 minutes.
6.8. Rain Delay
Ensure the timer is in AUTO mode.
- Hold the "+" button for 5 seconds until the rain cloud icon appears on the screen.
- Press the "+" or "-" buttons to set the duration of the delay from 0 to 7 days.
- Press the "OK" button to save changes.
- To quit the Rain Delay function, hold the "+" button for 5 seconds again.
6.9. Child Lock
Ensure the timer is in AUTO mode.
- Hold the "-" button for 5 seconds until the lock icon appears on the screen. This engages the child lock, preventing accidental changes.
- To cancel the child lock, hold the "-" button for 5 seconds again.
7. Maintenance
7.1. Battery Status
The battery status is displayed on the LCD screen:
- FULL: Indicates sufficient battery power.
- LOW BATTERY: Indicates low battery power.
Important: When the low battery indicator appears, the valve will automatically close to prevent leakage. Replace the batteries immediately to ensure continuous operation.
7.2. Filter Cleaning
Regularly clean the filter to prevent blockages and ensure optimal performance. Replace the filter if it appears worn or damaged.
7.3. Winter Storage
Before winter, remove the batteries, drain any water from the timer, and store it indoors in a dry, frost-free location to prevent damage from freezing.
8. Troubleshooting

9. User Tips
- For optimal battery life and performance, always use fresh, high-quality AA alkaline batteries.
- Regularly check the filter for debris, especially if you notice a drop in water pressure.
- Utilize the child lock feature to prevent accidental changes to your watering schedule, particularly in households with children.
- When setting watering durations, remember that 0 minutes will disable watering for that zone.
- The rain delay function is useful for conserving water during periods of natural rainfall; remember to save the setting with the "OK" button.
10. Warranty and Support
10.1. Warranty Instructions
Products are covered by a 24-month warranty, effective from the date of purchase by a retail customer.
To exercise warranty rights, the purchaser must present:
- Warranty card.
- Proof of purchase (VAT invoice, financial receipt, or other document confirming the actual date of purchase), unless the purchase date is available from the warranty card.
If product quality problems occur within 24 months from the date of receipt, prepare the product and packaging and return it to the place of purchase for after-sales maintenance. If damage is due to personal reasons, a maintenance fee will be charged.
It is recommended to use the original packaging with padding for safe transportation when returning the product for warranty service. If using replacement packaging, ensure adequate protection from damage during shipping. Consider placing a "Warning Glass" sticker on the packaging.
Reported defects covered by the warranty will be processed within 14 days from the date of delivery to the Guarantor. Repairs will be completed within 30 days from the date of delivery to the Guarantor. This deadline may extend if hard-to-find spare parts are required.
The warranty does not cover:
- Performance of maintenance and similar operations specified in the user manual (users are responsible for these).
- Defects due to natural wear and tear during use.
- Mechanical damage caused by user fault or product defects caused by such damage.
The rights under the guarantee will expire if:
- The warranty seal is removed from the product.
- The serial number is removed from the product.
- Actions are taken to eliminate physical defects outside of authorized service.
- Non-original parts and consumables are used.
