4. Setup Guide
4.1 Physical Connection
- Power Connection:
- For FLXM1 (DC12V variant): Connect a 12V DC power adapter (not included) to the DC power input port.
- For FLXM1-POE (POE 48V variant): Connect an Ethernet cable from a POE-enabled switch or injector to the RJ45 network port. This will provide both power and data.
- Network Connection: Connect an Ethernet cable from your router or network switch to the RJ45 network port on the camera module.
- Audio (Optional): If your module includes audio capabilities, connect a microphone to the "Mic in" port and a speaker to the "Mic out" port (if available).

4.2 Software Installation & Initial Configuration
- Mobile App Setup (iCSee/Xmeye):
- Download the "iCSee" or "Xmeye Pro" app from the Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS).
- Register an account and log in.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add your camera. This typically involves scanning a QR code (if available on the module or packaging) or manually entering the device ID.
- PC Software Setup (VMS):
- Download the VMS (Video Management Software) client for your Windows operating system (Windows 98, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10, 2003 are supported).
- Install the software and follow the prompts to add your camera using its IP address or device ID.
- Web Browser Access:
- For direct web access, open a web browser and navigate to www.xmeye.net.
- Log in using your device credentials. This method allows for remote viewing and configuration.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Live View and Recording
- Access live video streams through the iCSee/Xmeye mobile app, VMS PC software, or the web interface.
- Configure recording schedules and storage options (e.g., NVR, cloud storage if supported by your setup).
5.2 Motion Detection and Alarms
- Enable Motion Detection: Navigate to the camera settings in your chosen application (app, VMS, or web).
- Set Detection Area: Define specific areas within the camera's view for motion detection.
- Adjust Sensitivity: Configure multi-level sensitivity to minimize false alarms.
- Alarm Actions: Set up actions such as FTP Photo uploads upon detection.
- Humanoid Detection: Utilize the built-in human detection algorithm for more accurate alerts.

7. Troubleshooting
- No Power/Camera Not Turning On:
- Ensure the DC12V power adapter is correctly connected and functional (if not using POE).
- For POE models, verify the Ethernet cable is connected to a POE-enabled port and the POE switch/injector is powered on.
- Check all cable connections for looseness or damage.
- No Video/Offline Status:
- Confirm the camera has power and is connected to the network.
- Check your network connection (router, switch, Ethernet cable).
- Ensure the camera's IP address is correct and not conflicting with other devices on your network.
- Restart the camera module and your network equipment.
- Verify that the iCSee/Xmeye app or VMS software is up to date and correctly configured.
- Poor Image Quality:
- Clean the camera lens.
- Adjust image settings (brightness, contrast, sharpness) in the camera's configuration.
- Ensure adequate lighting in the surveillance area.
- Check network bandwidth; low bandwidth can affect streaming quality.
- Motion Detection Not Working:
- Verify motion detection is enabled in the camera settings.
- Adjust the detection area and sensitivity.
- Ensure there are no obstructions or environmental factors (e.g., moving branches, shadows) causing false negatives or positives.
8. User Tips
- For optimal performance, ensure your network has sufficient bandwidth, especially if you plan to use multiple cameras or high-resolution streaming.
- Utilize the P2P feature for easy remote access without complex network configurations.
- Regularly review recorded footage and adjust motion detection settings to fine-tune alerts and reduce unnecessary notifications.
- Consider using an NVR (Network Video Recorder) for reliable and continuous recording, especially in professional or critical surveillance setups.
- Keep your camera's firmware updated to benefit from the latest features and security enhancements.
