8. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and proper functioning of your MOES Smart Curtain Blind Switch, follow these general maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the glass panel with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or excessive moisture, which can damage the surface or internal components.
- Avoid Liquids: Do not expose the switch to water or other liquids. In case of accidental spills, immediately disconnect power at the circuit breaker and allow the switch to dry completely before restoring power.
- Environmental Conditions: Operate the switch within its specified temperature and humidity ranges. Avoid installing it in areas with extreme temperatures or high humidity.
- Regular Checks: Periodically check the physical connections to ensure they remain secure. If you notice any loose wiring or damage, disconnect power and consult a qualified electrician.
9. Troubleshooting
- Q1: After installation, why does the light not respond when I click the switch button?
- A1: Please cut off the power supply at the circuit breaker and carefully re-check all wiring connections according to the installation instructions in this manual. Ensure all wires are securely connected.
- Q2: Why is there no dedicated reset button on my switch?
- A2: The switch button itself typically functions as the reset button for this device. To enter pairing mode, press the switch button 6 times, and on the 6th press, hold it until the blue indicator light flashes rapidly. This indicates it's ready for app configuration.
- Q3: What if my smart switch malfunctions or becomes unresponsive for a long time?
- A3: First, try resetting the device. Remove the smart switch from your Smart Life App, then re-configure the network connection as per the app connection steps (Method Two: Manual Pairing). This often resolves unresponsive behavior.
