5. Setup Guide

5.1. Charging the Printer

5.2. Downloading the HeyPhoto App

The HPRT MT53 printer requires the 'HeyPhoto' app for operation. Download it from your smartphone's app store:

5.3. Loading Photo Paper

The HPRT MT53 uses special Zink sticky-back photo paper. Ensure you use official HPRT 2x3 inch Zink paper for optimal results.

  1. Gently push the printer's cover to slide it open.
  2. Insert the blue calibration card (included with the photo paper pack) first, with the text side facing down.
  3. Place up to 10 sheets of Zink photo paper on top of the blue card, ensuring the text side of all photo paper also faces down.
  4. Slide the cover back until it clicks into place.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power Button until the LED indicator lights up.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power Button until the LED indicator turns off.

  1. Once connected, open the HeyPhoto app.

The HeyPhoto app allows you to embed short videos into your printed photos, creating an augmented reality experience.

  1. Within the HeyPhoto app, select a video (up to 15 seconds long).
  2. Choose a still frame from the video to be the printed photo.
  3. Print the selected photo.
  4. To view the AR video, open the HeyPhoto app, select the AR function, and scan the printed photo with your smartphone camera. The video will play over the photo on your screen.
