Setup and Installation
The decorative cover is designed for easy, adhesive-based installation. Ensure your vehicle's engine start/stop button area is clean and dry before proceeding.
- Clean the Surface: Thoroughly clean the surface around your vehicle's engine start/stop button. Use a mild cleaner and ensure no dust, grease, or residue remains. Allow the surface to dry completely.
- Measure and Verify Fit: Before removing the adhesive backing, carefully place the decorative cover over your engine start/stop button to ensure it fits correctly and does not obstruct the button's function or surrounding controls. Refer to the dimensions in the Specifications section (Figure 1).
- Prepare Adhesive: The cover comes with pre-applied 3M adhesive tape. Peel off the red protective film from the back of the cover.
- Apply the Cover: Carefully align the decorative cover over your engine start/stop button. Once aligned, press firmly and evenly for at least 30 seconds to ensure strong adhesion.
- Allow to Cure: For optimal adhesion, avoid touching or moving the cover for at least 24 hours after installation. Avoid washing the car or exposing the area to excessive moisture during this period.

Maintenance
To keep your decorative cover looking its best, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Wipe the cover regularly with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. For stubborn marks, use a mild automotive interior cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish.
- Inspection: Periodically check the adhesion of the cover to ensure it remains securely attached. If any lifting is observed, gently press down on the affected area.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not expose the cover to strong chemicals or extreme temperatures, which could affect its material and finish.
Troubleshooting
- Cover Not Sticking: Ensure the surface was thoroughly cleaned and dry before installation. Temperature can affect adhesive performance; ensure installation is done in moderate temperatures (above 10°C / 50°F). Apply firm, even pressure during installation.
- Cover Obstructs Button: Re-check the inner diameter of the cover against your car's button size. If the cover is too small, it may not be compatible with your vehicle. Ensure the cover is centered correctly during installation.
- Cover Feels Loose: If the cover feels loose after installation, it may indicate insufficient pressure during application or an unclean surface. Re-apply if necessary, ensuring proper surface preparation and firm pressure.
User Tips
- Verify Dimensions: Always measure the diameter of your vehicle's engine start/stop button before purchasing to ensure compatibility with the cover's 3cm inner diameter.
- Pre-fit Test: Before peeling off the adhesive, always perform a dry fit to confirm proper alignment and clearance.
- Warm Adhesive (Optional): In colder climates, gently warm the adhesive backing with a hairdryer for a few seconds before peeling the film. This can improve adhesion.
