Setup

1. Battery Installation and Charging

1. Ensure the walkie talkie is powered off.
2. Align the battery with the battery compartment on the back of the radio and slide it into place until it clicks securely.
3. To charge, you can use the provided desktop charger or a USB-C cable.
4. For desktop charging: Place the walkie talkie into the desktop charger. Ensure the charging indicator light illuminates.
5. For USB-C charging: Connect a USB-C cable to the Type-C interface on the side of the radio and plug the other end into a power bank, charging head, or computer.

The 2500mAh Polymer Lithium Battery provides approximately 24 hours of battery life and up to 7 days of standby time.

2. Antenna Installation

1. Carefully screw the 7-inch antenna clockwise into the antenna connector on the top of the walkie talkie until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off and Volume Adjustment

Rotate the Volume/Switch knob clockwise to power on the device. Continue rotating to increase the volume. Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease volume and power off.

2. Frequency and Channel Selection

The RT-730 features a 1.77-inch LED High-Definition Color Screen for clear display of frequencies and channels, even in sunlight.

• Channel Knob: Rotate the Channel knob on top of the radio to adjust the frequency or select channels.
• A/B Switch Key: Short press to switch between channels and frequency working modes (VFO/MR/CH).
• Left/Right Click Keys: Use the left and right arrow keys for navigation. Short press the right key to scroll down. Long press the right key to lock/unlock the keyboard.
• Menu Key: Press the MENU key to access the radio's settings.

3. Transmitting and Receiving

• PTT (Push-to-Talk) Keys: The RT-730 features dual PTTs for easy operation. Press and hold a PTT key to transmit, and release to receive.
• VOX Function: Voice-operated transmission (VOX) allows hands-free operation. Activate this feature in the menu settings.
• High/Low Power: Adjust the transmission power (5W-10W) via the menu to conserve battery or extend range as needed.
