6. Installation and Setup
6.1. Physical Installation (Din Rail Mounting)
The AT4PW Smart Switch is designed for easy installation on a universal 35mm standard DIN rail. No screws are required for mounting.

6.2. Wiring Diagram
Important Note on Magnetic Latching Relay:
When this meter is first powered on, the built-in magnetic latching relay needs to be reset. During this period, it will be turned on for more than ten seconds and maintain the output (delay protection). Only when the startup is completed and the measurement interface is reached, can the over-limit protection functions (such as overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, and overpower protection) take effect, and the normal working mode of the measurement data be achieved. Therefore, it is crucial to strictly follow the wiring diagram and ensure the meter has fully started before connecting your equipment.

6.3. App Installation and WiFi Pairing
The AT4PW Smart Switch is compatible with the Tuya and Smart Life applications. Ensure your phone's location and Bluetooth are enabled during the pairing process.
- Download the "Smart Life" or "Tuya" app from Google Play (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS).
- Power on the meter. The WIFI indicator will flash. If the WIFI LED is not flashing, long press the 'M' button to enter the background settings, then navigate to the WiFi pairing network option.
- Open the Smart Life app, click the '+' icon to add a device.
- The app should discover the device. Select it and enter your Wi-Fi account password to complete the pairing.
- Once successfully paired, the device will connect to the router and the cloud, and the main measurement interface will appear.

7. Operating Instructions
7.1. Local Device Operation
- Switching Interfaces: Short press the "+" or "-" button to navigate through different functional test interfaces (e.g., voltage, current, power, energy, frequency, power factor, AQI, PM2.5, humidity, temperature, calendar).
- Entering Background Settings: Long press the "M" key to access the background settings menu. Here you can switch between Chinese and English display, adjust display brightness, standby time, and other parameters.
- Device ON/OFF: Long press the "+" or "-" button to manually turn the device ON or OFF.
7.2. App Remote Control
Once connected to the Smart Life or Tuya app, you can control and monitor the device remotely.

- Remote ON/OFF: Use the app to turn the device on or off from anywhere.
- Timing Function: Set schedules for automatic power on/off.
- Countdown: Set a countdown timer for the device to turn off.
- Energy Monitoring: View real-time and historical data for voltage, current, power, and energy consumption (KWh).
- Graphical Curve: The app displays power consumption data in a graphical format for daily, monthly, and yearly analysis.

7.3. Energy Management
The app provides features for managing energy consumption:
- Prepayment Switch: Enable or disable prepayment functionality.
- Balance Energy: View and manage your energy balance.
- Energy Charge: Top-up your energy balance (e.g., in kWh).
- Prepaid Phone Records: Access records of your energy charges.
- Clear Energy: Reset energy consumption data.
7.4. Security Protection Settings
The device offers various protection features with adjustable thresholds and alarm notifications.

- Over-voltage Protection (OVP): Set a maximum voltage threshold. If the voltage exceeds this, the device will trigger an alarm and automatically power off.
- Under-voltage Protection (LVP): Set a minimum voltage threshold. If the voltage drops below this, the device will trigger an alarm and automatically power off.
- Over-current Protection (OCP): Set a maximum current threshold. If the current exceeds this, the device will trigger an alarm and automatically power off.
- Insufficient Balance Warning: Set a threshold for remaining energy (kWh) to receive a warning when the balance is low.
- Adjustable Recovery Time: For undervoltage and overvoltage, you can set a recovery time (1-99 minutes). Once the voltage returns to normal, power supply will be restored after the set delay.
- Alarm Notifications: Configure the app to receive notifications for various alarm events (e.g., over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, insufficient balance).

8. Maintenance
8.1. Firmware Upgrade
New firmware versions will be released periodically to enhance features and performance. You can upgrade the device firmware remotely via the app.
- Open the Smart Life or Tuya app.
- Navigate to the device settings.
- Look for "Device Upgrade" or "Firmware Update" option.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware.

9. Troubleshooting
- No Internet Connection: If the device loses internet connection, it can still operate manually and display real-time data on its screen. However, remote control, app-based scheduling, and cloud data storage will not function.
- Power-off Memory: The device retains energy consumption data after a power outage. However, the switch mode (ON/OFF state) does not have power-off memory. Upon power restoration, the relay will close, and the screen will display normally.
- WiFi Indicator Not Flashing During Pairing: If the WiFi indicator is not flashing, long press the 'M' button on the device to enter the background settings, then navigate to the WiFi pairing network option to initiate pairing mode.
- Inaccurate Power Readings: Ensure correct wiring according to the diagram. If there is a voltage difference, it might be due to wire voltage drop. The device supports voltage and current accuracy calibration.
- Solar Panel Integration: The device measures both generated and consumed energy. If you only wish to read consumed energy in a solar setup, specific configuration within the app might be required, or consult the manufacturer for advanced settings.
- Device State After Power Restoration: Upon power restoration, the device will initially turn on and close the relay for a short period (delay protection) to allow for internal reset. Over-limit protection functions will become active once the measurement interface is fully loaded.
10. User Tips
- For optimal performance and reliable remote control, ensure the device is installed in an area with strong 2.4GHz WiFi signal coverage.
- Regularly check the app for firmware updates to benefit from new features and improvements.
- Utilize the scheduling and timing functions to automate appliance control and optimize energy usage.
- Configure alarm notifications for critical electrical parameters to receive immediate alerts on your mobile device, enhancing safety and preventing potential damage.
