4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
The ThermoPro TP01H thermometer comes with a CR2032 3V button battery included in the package. To install or replace the battery:
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the thermometer.
- Use a small coin or screwdriver to open the battery cover by twisting it counter-clockwise.
- Insert the CR2032 3V battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
- Replace the battery cover and twist clockwise to secure it.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off
- Press the ON/OFF button to turn the thermometer on or off.
- The thermometer will automatically turn off after 10 minutes of inactivity.
5.2 Measuring Temperature
- Turn on the thermometer.
- Insert the stainless steel probe into the thickest part of the food, avoiding bone or gristle.
- The temperature reading will be displayed on the LCD screen within 4-6 seconds.

5.3 Backlight Function
- Press the LIGHT button once to turn the backlight on.
- Press the LIGHT button again to turn the backlight off.
- The backlight will automatically turn off after 15 seconds if not manually switched off.

5.4 Lock Function
- While the probe is in the food, press the LOCK button once to hold the current temperature reading. This is useful for viewing the temperature after removing the probe from hot food or liquid.
- Press the LOCK button again to unlock and resume live temperature reading.
