Operating Conditions:
The MEPBMW Remote Button enables Multi-Way dimming and ON/OFF with the DIMPBD Digital Dimmer. It can also be used with a MEPBE switch for Multi-Way ON/OFF.
Load Compatibility:
The MEPBMW will operate without neutral connection but the LED indicator will not function. Multiple MEPBMW can be connected in parallel to a single dimmer or a single 3-wire electronic switch, provided the total length of the remote connection does not exceed 50 meters.
Installation Instructions:
WARNING: The MEPBMW Multi-Way Remote Button is to be installed as part of a fixed-wire electrical installation. By law, such installations must be made by an electrical contractor or similarly qualified person.
Wiring Instructions:
Refer to the provided wiring diagrams for connecting the MEPBMW Remote Button with the DIMPBD Dimmer or MEPBE Switches based on whether neutral is present or not.

- Can the LED indicator be configured to be permanently ON?
Yes, by connecting Neutral to the MEPBMW, the LED indicator can be set to be permanently ON. - Can multiple MEPBMW Remote Buttons be connected in parallel?

INTRODUCTION
- The Switching MEPBMW Remote Button enables Multi-Way dimming and ON/OFF with the DIMPBD Digital Dimmer. It can also be used with MEPBE switch for Multi-Way ON/OFF.
- An inbuilt LED indicator can be configured two ways by connecting Neutral to the MEPBMW:
- The LED indicator can be permanently “ON” switching.
- Or “ON” while the button is pressed.
- The MEPBMW will operate without neutral connection but the LED indicator will not function. Multiple MEPBMW can be connected in parallel to a single dimmer or a single 3-wire electronic switch, provided the total length of the remote connection does not exceed 50 metres.

Note: Operation at temperature, voltage or load outside of the specifications may cause permanent damage to the unit.

For use with MEPBE push button switch and DIMPBD push button dimmers only.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: The MEPBMW Multi-Way Remote Button is to be installed as part of a fixed-wire electrical installation. By law, such installations must be made by an electrical contractor or similarly qualified person.
- Single Core: Up to 50m. Connect Active and Neutral (if required) locally, provided they are on the same phase as the dimmer or electronic switch.
- Twin Core: Up to 20m. If the remote does not fully function or there is false switching, only connect the Remote through the twin and connect Active and Neutral (if required) locally, provided they are on the same phase as the dimmer or electronic switch).
WIRING
- Disconnect power at the circuit breaker before any electrical work.
- Clip the button on to the MEPBMW. Ensure that the button is oriented so that the LED light pipe is aligned with the hole in the button, before attaching it to the wall plate.
- Reconnect power at the circuit breaker and affix Solid State Device Warning Sticker at the switchboard.
NOTE 1: The MEPBMW is designed for indoor use. It is not rated for outdoor installation.
NOTE 2: Under normal operation in a two (or more) way switching circuit the MEPBMW(A) will make a “switching/clicking” noise when activated.

WIRING MULTIPLE REMOTE BUTTONS WITH DIMPBD DIMMERS
- Multiple Remote Buttons can be used, provided the total remote wiring length does not exceed 50 meters.
- Either LED ON or Button-only wiring configurations can be used.
IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNINGS
LOW READING DURING INSULATION BREAKDOWN TEST
The MEPBMW is a solid-state device and a low reading may be observed when conducting insulation breakdown testing on the circuit.
