Connecting Devices
The following sections describe how to connect various devices to your Samsung display.
Connecting to a PC
Connect to a PC using a HDMI cable or HDMI-DVI cable (HDMI IN 1/2) or a DP cable (DP IN).
Connecting to a Video Device
Connect to a video source device using a HDMI cable or HDMI-DVI cable (HDMI IN 1/2).
Connecting to an Audio System
Connect to an audio system using an audio cable via the AUDIO OUT port.
Connecting to MDC (Multi-Device Control)
Connect to MDC using an RS232C adapter via the RS232C IN/OUT ports or connect to MDC and the Internet using a LAN cable via the RJ45 port.
Connecting the LAN Cable
Use Cat7 (*STP Type) cable for the connection (10/100 Mbps). Shielded Twist Pair.
Product Ports and Connections
Detailed descriptions of the ports:
- HDMI IN 1 (ARC), HDMI IN 2 (DAISY CHAIN IN): Connects to a source device using a HDMI cable or HDMI-DVI cable. HDMI IN 2 can also be used for daisy-chaining.
- DP IN (DAISY CHAIN IN): Connects to a PC using a DP cable. Can also be used for daisy-chaining.
- DVI/MAGICINFO IN: Connects to a source device using a DVI cable or HDMI-DVI cable. MAGICINFO IN connects to a network box using a DP-DVI cable to use Magicinfo.
- DVI/HDMI AUDIO IN: Receives sound from a source device via an audio cable.
- RJ45: Connects to MDC and the Internet using a LAN cable (10/100 Mbps).
- USB 1 (1.0A): Connect to a USB memory device. Note: USB ports accept a maximum constant current of 1.0A. Exceeding this may cause ports to malfunction.
- USB (0.5A): Connect to a USB memory device. Note: USB ports accept a maximum constant current of 0.5A. Exceeding this may cause ports to malfunction.
- AUDIO OUT: Outputs sound to an audio device via an audio cable.
- RS232C IN: Connects to MDC using an RS232C adapter.
- RS232C OUT: Connects to MDC using an RS232C adapter.
- HDMI OUT: Connects to another product using a HDMI cable.
- IR IN: Connects to an external IR cable that receives signals from the remote control.
Product Controls
- Remote Sensor: Located on the bottom of the product. Press remote control buttons pointing towards this sensor. Note: Using other display devices in the same space may cause unintended control of those devices.
- Power Button: Controls the power state of the display.
- Power Indicator: Shows the power status of the display.

Troubleshooting
Issue | Solution |
---|---|
The screen keeps switching on and off. | Check that the cable between the product and the PC is connected correctly. |
No Signal is displayed on the screen. | Check that products (including source device) are connected correctly with a cable. Check that the source device connected to the product is powered on. |
Not Optimum Mode is displayed. | Depending on the type of external device, the screen may not display properly. Connect it with the HDMI Hot Plug function turned On. This message is displayed when a signal from the graphics card exceeds the product's maximum resolution and frequency. Refer to the Standard Signal Mode Table and set the maximum resolution and frequency according to the product specifications. |
