Device Ports (Reverse Side)
The rear panel of the display features various ports for connectivity:
- RS232C IN/OUT: Connects to MDC (Multi-Device Control) using an RS232C cable.
- AUDIO IN/OUT: Outputs sound to an audio device via an audio cable.
- USB: Connect to a USB memory device (5V 0.5A).
- RJ45 (LAN OUT): Wired LAN connection port for connecting to the Internet via a LAN cable (10/100 Mbps).
- HDBT (LAN IN): Connects to MDC and the Internet using a LAN cable (10/100 Mbps). Also used to send HDMI signals to a connected LAN cable via an HDBaseT transmitter.
- HDMI IN 1, HDMI IN 2: Connects to a source device using an HDMI cable or HDMI-DVI cable.
Device Parts
Power LED: Indicates the power status of the device.
Remote sensor: Point the remote control at this sensor to operate the device. Using other display devices in the same space as this product's remote control may cause unintended control of those other devices.
Connecting Devices
Connecting to a PC: Use an HDMI cable or HDMI-DVI cable to connect your PC to the HDMI IN ports.
Connecting to a Video Device: Use an HDMI cable to connect your video source device to the HDMI IN ports.
Connecting to an Audio System: Connect an audio cable from the AUDIO OUT port to your audio system.
Connecting to MDC: Use an RS232C cable to connect to MDC. Refer to the MDC program's help section after installation for details. The MDC program is available on the Samsung website.
Connecting the HDBase-T: Use an HDBaseT transmitter to send HDMI signals over a LAN cable. Connect the HDBT (LAN IN) port to the transmitter.
Connecting the LAN Cable: Use a Cat 7 STP (Shielded Twisted Pair) cable for the connection to the LAN ports (RJ45).
Troubleshooting Guide
Issue: The screen keeps switching on and off.
Solution: Check the cable connection between the product and PC, and ensure the connection is secure.
Issue: No Signal is displayed on the screen.
Solution: Check that the product is connected correctly with a cable. Check that the device connected to the product is powered on.
Issue: Not Optimum Mode is displayed.
Solution: This message appears when a signal from the graphics card exceeds the product's maximum resolution and frequency. Consult the 'Supported Preset Timing Modes Table' and set the maximum resolution and frequency according to the product specifications.
