BASIC OPERATION
Charging
It takes 2.5 hours to fully charge.
- Any third-party USB charger can be used, as long as it is approved by the FCC, CE, IC, or other locally recognized regulatory agencies.
- Using a non-approved charger may cause fire, explosion, leakage, and other hazards, potentially reducing the battery’s lifespan or performance.
PAIRING WITH BLUETOOTH DEVICES
When using the SHARK BT with other Bluetooth devices for the first time, they need to be paired. The SHARK BT can pair with multiple devices, including two mobile phones and one GPS. However, it supports only one additional device, alongside a mobile phone, for simultaneous connection.
- Phone Pairing
- When you turn on the SHARK BT for the first time or reboot it after a factory reset, the SHARK BT will automatically enter phone pairing mode.
- To cancel phone pairing, press any button.

Music
Start/Terminate Sharing Music
You can start sharing the music with one intercom friend of a two-way intercom conversation.
- Both you and your intercom friend can remotely control music playback such as track forward and track back.
- Music sharing will be paused when you are using your mobile phone or listening to GPS instructions.
- Music sharing will be terminated if the headset starts a multi-way intercom conference.
BLUETOOTH INTERCOM
Bluetooth Intercom Pairing
To have a Bluetooth intercom conversation, you need to pair with the other SHARK headset users. The other user’s headset will be added to the intercom pairing list of your SHARK BT, and vice versa.
You can add up to 3 headsets to the Bluetooth intercom pairing list, regardless of the headset model.
Using Smart Intercom Pairing (SIP)
SIP allows you to quickly pair with your friends for intercom communication by scanning a QR code on the SHARKHelmets app.
- Pair the mobile phone with the SHARK BT.
- Open the SHARKHelmets app and tap for both users.
- Scan the QR code on the other user’s app screen.
Tap Save and go to the Pairing List tab on the app screen to check if the other headset is listed correctly.
- Go back to the Scan QR Code tab and repeat the process to pair with another SHARK headset.
Using Buttons
Bluetooth intercom pairing by SIP is highly recommended, but you can also pair with the other headsets using the button on the SHARK BT.
- You and the other user enter intercom pairing mode by pressing the center button for 5 seconds.
- Wait for a moment until both headsets are paired automatically. It can take some time depending on the surrounding wireless signals, such as Wi-Fi.
- A Bluetooth intercom conversation is automatically established as soon as both headsets are paired successfully.
- To pair with another headset, please repeat the process above.
Bluetooth Intercom Pairing List
- Paired headsets are added to the Bluetooth intercom pairing list of your SHARK BT. Tap on the SHARKHelmets app to check the list.
- The intercom pairing list queue operates on a last-come, first-served basis. If your SHARK BT has multiple paired headsets for intercom conversations, the last paired headset is set as the first intercom friend.
Two-Way Intercom
Start/End Conversation with the Intercom Friend
HD Intercom
Two-way Bluetooth intercom always operates in HD mode to enhance the intercom audio quality. The HD mode will be temporarily disabled when you enter a multi-way intercom.
Multi-Way Intercom
Multi-way intercom enables conference-call-style conversations with up to three other intercom friends simultaneously.
Technically, a multi-way intercom combines a series of two-way intercoms and shares audio. For example, the three-way intercom combines two independent two-way intercoms, while the four-way intercom combines three.
While the multi-way intercom is in progress, the mobile phone connection is temporarily disabled. However, as soon as the multi-way intercom terminates, the phone connection will be reestablished.
Start a Three-Way Intercom
To start a three-way intercom, one participant has to establish two independent two-way intercoms simultaneously.
- You already have two other users, A and B, added to your Bluetooth intercom pairing list.
- You can start an intercom conversation with the first intercom friend, B, by tapping the center button once.
- While maintaining the intercom conversation, you can establish another intercom conversation with the second intercom friend, A, by double-tapping the center button. Alternatively, the second intercom friend, A, can start an intercom connection to you.
- Now you and your two intercom friends, A and B, are having a three-way intercom.
Start a Four-Way Intercom
You can create only up to two independent two-way intercoms. Therefore, to create a four-way intercom, two participants must establish two independent two-way intercoms and combine them.
While you, A, and B are having a three-way intercom as described in the section above, one of the participants, A, must create a two-way intercom with another user, C.
End Multi-Way Intercom
You can completely terminate the multi-way intercom or disconnect just a specific intercom connection with one of the participants.
Terminate All Intercom Connections Disconnect a Specific Intercom Connection with One of the Participants
When you disconnect the second intercom friend, A, during the four-way intercom, you will also be disconnected from the third participant, C. This is because the third participant, C, is connected to you via the second intercom friend, A.
Three-Way Conference Phone Call
You can have a three-way conference phone call by adding an intercom friend to the mobile phone conversation.
- During a mobile phone call, tap the center button once, twice, or three times to invite one of your intercom friends to the conversation.
- To disconnect the intercom during a conference phone call, tap the center button once, twice, or three times.
Invite/Disconnect an Intercom Friend - To disconnect the mobile phone call during a conference phone call, tap the center button.
End Phone CallWhen you have an incoming intercom call during a mobile phone call, you will hear high tone double beeps.
Group Intercom
Group intercom allows you to instantly create a multi-way conference intercom with three of the most recently paired headsets.
Start Group Intercom
- Go through intercom pairing with up to three headsets you want to have group intercom with.
UNIVERSAL INTERCOM
Universal intercom allows you to have intercom conversations with headsets from other brands as long as they support Bluetooth Hands-Free Profile (HFP).
Universal Intercom Pairing
Put the headset from another brand in phone pairing mode and wait a moment until the SHARK BT automatically pairs with it.
The universal intercom conversation is automatically established as soon as both headsets are paired successfully.
Start/End Universal Intercom Conversation
The headset from another brand has now been added to your SHARK BT intercom pairing list, allowing you to start and end universal intercom conversations just as easily as you would with SHARK headsets.
A headset from another brand can join a multi-way intercom, but only one non-SHARK headset can have a direct intercom connection with the SHARK BT.
Below are examples of the four-way Bluetooth intercoms with universal intercom included. Not all headsets from other brands support multi-way intercom. For details, please refer to the manual for headsets from other brands.
